Claims
- 1. A weight balancer for a tripod head, said weight balancer being concentrically connected to a tilting shaft of the tripod head, said weight balancer comprising:
- a plurality of spring units;
- a respective case for each of said spring units;
- a plurality of spiral springs having different elastic forces incorporated in the spring units;
- first ends of said spiral springs fixed on said tilting shaft of the tripod head;
- other ends of said spiral springs fixed to the respective case;
- recesses on a side of each said case arranged around at least one circle with respect to one another, said recesses being positioned on an outer side of each said case;
- a respective check pin for each of said cases, said respective check pin being freely insertable into and removable from said recesses of the respective case;
- a righting moment switchover mechanism means including a check pin driving member which causes each of said check pins to stepwise insert into and remove from the respective recesses.
- 2. The weight balancer of claim 1, wherein said check pins include a first check pin and a second check pin; and wherein said righting moment switchover mechanism includes (a) said check pin driving member being a cap having a side end surface, (b) a first check pin driving portion on said end surface which switches over insertion and removal of said first check pin into and from a respective one of said recesses, (c) a second check pin driving portion on said side end surface which switches over insertion and removal of said second check pin into and from a respective one of said recesses.
- 3. The weight balancer of claim 2, wherein said righting moment switchover mechanism further includes (d) a first auxiliary pin and a second auxiliary pin which are in contact with said check pin driving portions of said check pin driving cap and which are fixed to said first check pin and said second check pin, respectively.
- 4. The weight balancer of claim 2, wherein said righting moment switchover mechanism is constructed such that during a period of rotation of said check pin driving cap, said righting moment switchover mechanism switches insertion and removal of said first check pin alternately between a state of insertion and a state of removal while maintaining said second check pin in one of a state of insertion or a state of removal during said period in which said first check pin has been switched.
- 5. The weight balancer of claim 2, wherein said righting moment switchover mechanism is constructed such that during a period of rotation of said check pin driving member, said righting moment switchover mechanism switches insertion and removal of said first check pin alternately between a state of insertion and a state of removal while maintaining said second check pin in one of a state of insertion or a state of removal during said period in which said first check pin has been switched.
