Claims
- 1. A weight dependent, automatic filling dosage system comprising:
a minicomputer; a fluid reservoir; a pump in fluid communication with said fluid reservoir, said pump controlled by said minicomputer; a syringe assembly; and a connecting tube providing fluid communication between said pump and said syringe assembly.
- 2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a weighing device for weighing a subject.
- 3. The system of claim 2, further comprising a restraining device for restraining the subject.
- 4. The system of claim 1, further comprising means for inputting data relating to a subject's weight in said minicomputer.
- 5. The system of claim 4, further comprising a central computer for maintaining the health history of various subjects, said central computer communicating with said minicomputer.
- 6. The system of claim 1, wherein said pump is a valveless, viscosity-independent pump.
- 7. The system of claim 1, further comprising an automatic sensoring device for monitoring the fluid level in said fluid reservoir.
- 8. The system of claim 1, further comprising a container receptacle connected to said fluid reservoir, said container receptacle adapted to receive a fluid container containing fluid for delivery to said fluid reservoir.
- 9. The system of claim of claim 5, wherein said pump is a valveless, viscosity-independent pump.
- 10. A method of medicating subjects with varying doses of various substances, comprising the steps of:
weighing the subject; sending a weight signal to a computer; the computer calculating the required dosage to be administered to the subject according to the subject's weight; sending a dosage signal to a pump to fill a syringe with the proper dosage; and administering the proper dosage to the subject.
- 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the required dosage is administered in individual dosages of no more than 10 cc maximum aliquots.
- 12. The method of claim 10, further comprising the steps of:
identifying the subject; and inputting the subject's identification in the computer.
- 13. The method of claim 12, wherein the step of identifying the subject is done by using a scanner.
- 14. The method of claim 10, wherein the step of sending a weight signal to the computer is done electronically.
- 15. A syringe apparatus comprising:
a gun body having a handle assembly; a barrel for receiving fluid, the barrel attached to the gun body; a fluid inlet passing through the plunger assembly; and the handle assembly connected to a shaft attached to the plunger assembly.
- 16. The syringe apparatus of claim 15, wherein the plunger assembly has an inner plunger assembly and an outer plunger assembly, the inner plunger assembly permitted to move relative to the outer plunger assembly.
- 17. The syringe apparatus of claim 16, wherein the fluid inlet passes through the inner plunger assembly.
- 18. The syringe apparatus of claim 17, wherein the inner plunger assembly includes retrieval ports for retrieving the fluid from the barrel.
- 19. The syringe apparatus of claim 17, further comprising a discharge outlet in the barrel having a spring-loaded valve.
