I am an avid turkey hunter. For several years, I have thought about a slate or glass friction turkey call that would be easy to use with the least amount of visible movement. Like most turkey hunters, I have lost several calls when I changed positions in the woods or fields. I thought about a belt buckle call that would always be with me and when using the call, movement would be hidden or at a minimum.
The Belt Buckle Turkey Call is always in position to use and nearly impossible to misplace. Most friction calls on the market require both hands to operate. The Belt Buckle Call only requires one hand while the hunter has the other hand free to hold his/her gun or bow. Movement is easily detected by a wild turkey. The Belt Buckle Call requires very little movement
This turkey call is an oval, round, square, rectangular or other shape belt buckle with a striking surface on the buckle or elevated. The striking surface is slate, glass, metal or other material. The striking surface can be elevated from the buckle by wood or other material for support. When elevated the support and striking surface is adhered to the buckle by epoxy or any other adhesive. By elevating the striker surface, a sound chamber is created. The striker is the caller's choice and can be plastic, wood or other material. The Belt Buckle Turkey Call is fastened to a belt by a belt loop and belt eye peg. This call is excellent for close in calling where a minimum of movement is required. The call emits quality low clucks, yelps or purrs.
