Claims
- 1. A flex circuit to be coupled in a disk drive comprising:
a substrate; a plurality of conductors deposited with respect to said substrate; wherein said substrate includes indicia to indicate where the flex circuit is to be bent.
- 2. The flex circuit of claim 1 wherein said substrate is polyamide.
- 3. The flex circuit of claim 2 wherein said conductors are made of copper.
- 4. The flex circuit of claim 1 wherein said indicia includes two pairs of notches in said substrate to indicate where the flex circuit is to be bent.
- 5. A suspension assembly comprising:
a head gimbal assembly; a suspension coupled to said head gimbal assembly; and a flex circuit coupled to said head gimbal assembly wherein said flex circuit includes indicia to indicate where the flex circuit is to be bent relative to said suspension assembly.
- 6. The suspension assembly of claim 5 wherein said flex circuit includes a substrate and a plurality of conductors deposited with respect to said substrate.
- 7. The suspension assembly of claim 6 wherein said indicia includes two pairs of notches in said substrate to indicate where the flex circuit is to be bent.
- 8. A disk drive comprising:
a disk capable of being rotated and to store data thereon; a suspension assembly including
a head gimbal assembly; a suspension coupled to said head gimbal assembly; and a flex circuit coupled to said head gimbal assembly wherein said flex circuit includes indicia to indicate where the flex circuit is to be bent relative to said suspension assembly.
- 9. The disk drive of claim 8 wherein said flex circuit includes a substrate and a plurality of conductors deposited with respect to said substrate.
- 10. The disk drive of claim 9 wherein said indicia includes multiple notches in said substrate to indicate where the flex circuit is to be bent.
- 11. A method of manufacturing a suspension assembly comprising:
forming a flex circuit including a substrate; providing indicia on said substrate to indicate where the substrate is to be bent.
- 12. The method of claim 11 further comprising:
attaching said flex circuit to a suspension assembly and bending said flex circuit at said indicia.
- 13. The method of claim 12 wherein in said forming operation said flex circuit includes a plurality of conductors.
- 14. A method of manufacturing a suspension assembly comprising:
forming substrate and conductors onto a flexure, said substrate including indicia to indicate where the substrate is to be bent.
- 15. The method of claim 14 further comprising:
attaching said flexure to a suspension assembly.
- 16. The method of claim 15 further comprising:
bending said substrate and conductors at said indicia.
