Claims
- 1. A work board assembly comprising:
a board having front and rear surfaces; and a hook assembly including a bracket attached to said board and a hook rotatably mounted to said bracket.
- 2. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a detent.
- 3. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein:
said bracket includes two arms and a base.
- 4. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 3 including:
a fastener opening formed in said base.
- 5. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 3 wherein:
said bracket straddles said board.
- 6. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein:
said hook has a C-shaped cross-section.
- 7. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a post projecting from said hook and a post receiving opening formed in said bracket.
- 8. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 7 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a biasing element for allowing said hook and said bracket to separate slightly upon an application of force and then re-engage when the force is released.
- 9. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 8 wherein:
said biasing element is a spring washer; and including a push nut mounted to said post.
- 10. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 2 wherein:
said detent includes a projection formed on one of said bracket and said hook and a recess formed on the other of said bracket and said hook.
- 11. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 7 wherein:
said post rotates in said post receiving opening.
- 12. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 10 wherein:
said bracket includes two arms and a base.
- 13. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 12 including:
a fastener opening formed in said base.
- 14. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 12 wherein:
said bracket straddles said board.
- 15. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 3 including:
a fastener opening formed in said base; and wherein, said bracket straddles said board.
- 16. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 15 wherein:
said hook has a C-shaped cross-section.
- 17. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 16 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a post projecting from said hook; and a post receiving opening in said bracket.
- 18. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 17 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a biasing element for allowing said hook and said bracket to separate slightly upon an application of force and then re-engage when the force is released.
- 19. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 18 wherein:
said biasing element is a spring washer; and including a push nut mounted to said post.
- 20. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 2 wherein:
said bracket includes two arms and a base; and said hook assembly includes a post projecting from said hook and a post receiving opening in said bracket.
- 21. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 20 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a biasing element for allowing said hook and said bracket to separate slightly upon an application of force and then re-engage when the force is released.
- 22. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein:
said board includes a frame and a tray.
- 23. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein:
each of said front and said rear surfaces is usable for marking or tacking.
- 24. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 1 including:
a flip chart holder removably mounted to said board, said flip chart holder having a flip chart hanger bracket, a door, a hinge connecting said hanger bracket and said door, a latch for restraining said door, and a pair of hooks adjustably mounted on said door for supporting a flip chart.
- 25. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 24 wherein:
said door includes an inner surface having upper and lower grooves, said pair of hooks being connected to strips engaged to said upper and lower grooves for allowing said strips to move as a function of the size of a supported flip chart.
- 26. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 25 wherein:
said flip chart holder includes a finger grip allowing a user to rotate said door about said hinge.
- 27. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 22 wherein:
each of said front and said rear surfaces is usable for marking or tacking.
- 28. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 27 including:
a flip chart holder removably mounted to said board, said flip chart holder having a flip chart hanger bracket, a door, a hinge connecting said hanger bracket and said door, a latch for restraining said door, and a pair of hooks adjustably mounted to said door for supporting a flip chart.
- 29. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 28 wherein:
said door includes an inner surface having upper and lower grooves, said pair of hooks being connected to strips engaged to said upper and lower grooves for allowing said strips to move as a function of the size of a supported flip chart.
- 30. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 29 wherein:
said flip chart holder includes a finger grip allowing a user to rotate said door about said hinge.
- 31. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 22 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a detent.
- 32. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 31 wherein:
said detent includes a projection formed on one of said bracket and said hook and a recess formed on the other of said bracket and said hook.
- 33. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 32 wherein:
said bracket includes two arms and a base; a fastener opening is formed in said base; and said bracket straddles said board.
- 34. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 33 wherein:
said hook has a C-shaped cross-section.
- 35. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 34 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a post projecting from said hook and a post receiving opening in said bracket.
- 36. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 35 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a biasing element for allowing said hook and said bracket to separate slightly an application of force and then re-engage when the force is released.
- 37. The work board assembly as claimed in claim 36 wherein:
said biasing element is a spring washer; and including a push nut mounted to said post.
- 38. A hook assembly for a work board comprising:
a bracket adapted to attach to said board; and a hook rotatably mounted to said bracket.
- 39. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 38 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a detent.
- 40. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 39 wherein:
said bracket includes two arms and a base.
- 41. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 40 including:
a fastener opening formed in said base.
- 42. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 41 wherein:
said hook has a C-shaped cross-section.
- 43. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 42 wherein:
said hook assembly includes a post projecting from said hook and a post receiving opening formed in said bracket.
- 44. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 43 including:
a biasing element connected to said hook for allowing said hook and said bracket to separate slightly upon an application of force and then re-engage when the force is released.
- 45. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 44 wherein:
said biasing element is a spring washer; and including a push nut mounted to said post.
- 46. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 45 wherein:
said detent includes a projection formed on one of said bracket and said hook and a recess formed on the other of said bracket and said hook.
- 47. The hook assembly as claimed in claim 39 wherein:
said detent includes a projection formed on one of said bracket and said hook and a recess formed on the other of said bracket and said hook.
- 48. A work board for mounting on a rail comprising:
a board having front and rear surfaces; and a structure for connecting said board to a rotatable hook.
- 49. The work board as claimed in claim 48 wherein:
said structure includes a frame and a bracket.
- 50. The work board as claimed in claim 49 wherein:
each of said front and said rear surfaces is usable for marking or tacking.
- 51. The work board as claimed in claim 48 including:
a flip chart holder removably mounted to said board, said flip chart holder having a flip chart hanger bracket, a door, a hinge connecting said hanger bracket and said door, a latch for restraining said door, and a pair of hooks adjustably mounted to said door for supporting a flip chart.
- 52. The work board as claimed in claim 51 wherein:
said door includes an inner surface having upper and lower grooves, said pair of hooks being connected to strips engaged to said upper and lower grooves for allowing said strips to move as a function of the size of a supported flip chart.
- 53. The work board as claimed in claim 52 wherein:
said flip chart holder includes a finger grip allowing a user to rotate said door about said hinge.
- 54. The work board as claimed in claim 53 wherein:
said structure includes a frame and a bracket.
- 55. The work board as claimed in claim 54 wherein:
each of said front and said rear surfaces is usable for marking or tacking.
- 56. An office rail assembly for supporting a work board assembly and having structure to receive a hook attached to said work board assembly, said office rail assembly comprising:
a rail; a rail end cap; and a rail hanger bracket.
- 57. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 56 wherein:
said rail hanger bracket includes a rotatable cam portion and a wall mounting portion.
- 58. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 57 wherein:
said cam portion is receivable by said rail and is engaged by rotating said cam portion.
- 59. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 58 wherein:
said cam portion includes a handle and a fastener, said handle for rotating said cam portion and said fastener for retaining said cam portion in the engaged position.
- 60. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 59 wherein:
said cam portion includes two rotatable cam members for engaging abutting rail segments.
- 61. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 57 wherein:
said rail has a generally C-shaped cross-section; and said cam portion of said rail hanger bracket engages a portion of an inner surface of said C-shaped cross-section of said rail.
- 62. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 61 wherein:
said inner surface of said C-shaped cross-section of said rail includes an upper curved portion and a lip portion; and said cam portion of said rail hanger bracket engages said upper curved portion of said rail.
- 63. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 62 wherein:
said rail hanger bracket includes a projecting foot portion for engaging said lip portion of said rail.
- 64. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 56 wherein:
said rail end cap includes an end wall portion and a rail engaging arm.
- 65. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 64 wherein:
an outer surface of said rail engaging arm has a shape complementing the shape of an inner surface of said rail and said rail engaging arm includes a fastener opening.
- 66. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 65 wherein:
said rail hanger bracket includes a rotatable cam portion and a wall mounting portion.
- 67. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 66 wherein:
said cam portion is receivable by said rail and is engaged by rotating said cam portion.
- 68. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 67 wherein:
said rail has a generally C-shaped cross-section; and said cam portion of said rail hanger bracket engages a portion of an inner surface of said C-shaped cross-section of said rail.
- 69. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 68 wherein:
said inner surface of said C-shaped cross-section of said rail includes an upper curved portion and a lip portion; and said cam portion of said rail hanger bracket engages said upper curved portion of said rail.
- 70. The rail assembly as claimed in claim 69 wherein:
said rail hanger bracket includes a projecting foot portion for engaging said lip portion of said rail.
