The present disclosure relates to wrappable dreadlocks for men and women who want to change their hairstyle.
Hairstyle is a major part of a person's appearance and, in some instances, cultural identity. Dreadlocks are a significant symbol of African identity in the USA but are challenging to make and maintain. Additionally, conventional wigs and hair extensions with dreadlocks are uncomfortable, difficult to use, and hair damaging. The disclosure of this application makes deadlocks use convenient, comfortable, cost-effective, and non-hair damaging, and people with or without hair can use it.
The disclosure of this application caters to the marketplace need created by the current political and cultural need for products and inventions to facilitate dreadlocks creation, use, and maintenance.
This application relates to a dreadlock apparatus and methods of making and using the said apparatus. This application relates to an apparatus and methods for replacing and/or adding dreadlocks to female and male hairstyles. This disclosure's wrappable or drapable dreadlocks may be added to human head or part of the head without hair, existing natural and/or artificial dreadlocks, or any other hairstyles.
The apparatus and methods of making and using may be used by many to make a fashion or political statement. Furthermore, people with no or short hair may benefit from the current disclosure by adding length and bulk to their hair. Many people suffer hair loss due to diseases such as cancer or aging. Recently, in 2019, New Jersey, Tennessee, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and other states proposed legislation to explicitly ban race-based hair discrimination in workplaces, schools, and other public places. California and New York followed similar legislation in 2020. As a result of these recent political and cultural movements, dreadlocks have become a growing necessity in the marketplace. This disclosure aims to provide the market with the necessary product to meet the market's needs in a cost and time-effective manner.
