Abstract
The wrapped rim provides an “S” shaped rim with simple configuration. It is easy to use in storage appliance. The cross section of the wrapped rim is “S” shaped; the upper and lower openings of the “S” shaped rim are used as the first and second inserting slots. The product provides wrap edges of two cross sections simultaneously through altering the shapes of wrapped rim. It is simple to process, easy to operate, and can eliminate the gap between the wrapped rim and product edge effectively through changing the shapes of wrapped rim. The part of wrapped rim to be touched frequently is arc shaped, that can avoid injury. The wrapped rim can not only serve as product protection and decoration, but also enhance the product strength.
Description
BACKGROUND

1. Field of the Disclosure


This invention is generally directed to a wrapped rim, and more particularly to a wrapped rim used in storage appliance.


2. Description of Related Art


The sidewall of storage appliance usually uses mesh structure in the existing storage appliance in order to increase permeability, reduce product weight and enhance the product strength. As a result, the use of rim is indispensable for the product of storage appliance.


Wrapped rim is a component used for protecting and strengthening the section of mesh and other metal products. It can decorate the product and improve the product quality. Almost all mesh storage products involve wrapped rim process during production. It is very common to use upper wrapped rim processing at the edge of the product opening, especially the opening to be touched frequently to avoid scratch. The lower wrapped rim is often used at bottom edge related to rim of two cross sections, one is the cross section of product sidewall, and another is the cross section of product bottom. Therefore, the wrapped rim of bottom edge is more complicate comparing to the wrapped rim process of upper edge. It requires not only to protect and strengthen the product but also to avoid affecting the product appearance, and it should be easy for processing. The production process is complicate when wrapping the two sections together, and the defective rate is often very high for the existing lower wrapped rim, therefore it cannot meet the requirement of production process of the lower wrapped edge.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DISCLOSURE

The present invention is to overcome the disadvantage and deficiency of the existing techniques, and provide an innovated wrapped rim with simple structure. It is easy to use, and can wrap two cross sections of product together, and connect two cross sections seamlessly. Moreover, it can wrap one cross section of the product; while another opening edge can strengthen the wrapped rim.


The present invention achieves the purposes mentioned above through the following techniques: a new wrapped rim including the “S” shaped wrapped rim for the cross section area, the two openings around the “S” shaped rim as the first and the second inserting slots.


The first and the second inserting slots of “S” shaped rim are referred to the inserting slots along the product edge to be wrapped to better implement wrapping.


The openings of first and the second inserting slots of the “S” shaped rim are oriented in the opposite direction. The two cross sections are wrapped together simultaneously.


The “S” shaped rim is an integrated assembly.


The “S” shaped rim is a metal wrapped rim. The metal wrapped rim is very firm which can enhance the product strength.


The wrapped rim can be produced by inserting the edge of product to be wrapped into inserting slot of the wrapped rim with the method mentioned above. This “S” shaped rim is suitable for wrapping process used in product edge, i.e., insert into the first and second inserting slots separately in opposite direction with one edge of product cross section and another edge of product cross section as an insert, and weld or use other method to fix, then wrap two cross sections of product simultaneously, to connect the rim and edge of two cross sections seamlessly. Moreover, by inserting the edge of product cross section into the first inserting slot of “S” shaped rim, the outer edge of the opposite second inserting slot can create a wrapped rim with a certain thickness, to enhance the strength of the wrapped rim.


The present product has the following advantage and benefits comparing to existing techniques:

    • 1. The present invention can wrap the edges of two cross sections together simultaneously. It has a simple production process, it is easy to operate, can eliminate the gap between the wrapped rim and product edge effectively through changing the shape of wrapped rim.
    • 2. The part of the wrapped rim to be touched frequently is in arc shape, which can avoid injury.
    • 3. The wrapped rim is good for strengthening the product.


DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiments(s) in accordance with the present invention.


Embodiment 1, this example illustrates the wrapped rim of storage appliance, the bottom edge of the product, the sidewall and the two cross sections at the bottom of the product to be wrapped


As showed in the FIG. 1 of perspective view and FIG. 2 of elevational view, the cross section of the wrapped rim 1 is “S” shaped; the upper and lower openings of the S shaped rim are as the first inserting slot 11 and the second inserting slot 12; the sidewall 2 of product is made into “L” shape; the “L shaped horizontal section is inserted into the first inserting slot 11 directly; the bottom edge 3 of the product is inserted into the lower inserting slot 12 horizontally.


Embodiments 2, this example illustrates wrapped rim of storage appliance, the top edge of the product, the upper section of the product to be wrapped.


As showed in the FIG. 1 of perspective view and FIG. 3 of elevational view, the cross section of the wrapped rim 1 is “S” shaped; the upper and lower openings of the S shaped rim are as the first inserting slot 11 and the second inserting slot 12; the sidewall 2 of product is made into “L” shape; the “L” shaped horizontal section is inserted into the upper inserting slot 11 directly; the lower inserting slot 12 of the “S” shaped rim has no inserting slot and is parallel to the inserting slot 11, to increase the cross section area and to enhance the strength of the “S” shaped rim.


Embodiment 3, this example illustrates wrapped rim of storage appliance, the two cross sections are wrapped on the same plane.


As shown in the FIG. 1 of perspective view and FIG. 4 of elevational view of the present invention, the cross section of the wrapped rim 1 is “S” shaped; the upper and lower openings of the “S” shaped rim are as the first inserting slot 11 and the second slot inserting 12; the product to be wrapped 2 and 3 are on the same plane, the edge of product 2 to be wrapped is inserted in parallel into inserting slot 11, and edge of product 3 to be wrapped is inserted in parallel into inserting slot 12 to connect the two cross sections seamlessly on the same plane,


The openings of inserting slots 11 and 12 of wrapped “S” shaped rim 1 are oriented in the opposite direction. This is suitable for assemblage of wrapping of sidewall and bottom edge. The dimensions of the inserting slots 11 and 12 of the wrapped rim 1 are matched with edge size of the product. It can be adjusted appropriately for the dimension of slot 11 and slot 12 of wrapped rim 1 according to the specifications of the product edge size. Wrapped rim 1 is an integrated metal assembly to ensure the firmness and strength of the product.


The wrapped rim 1 can also be called as “N” shaped or “Z” shaped wrapped rim based on the shape of cross section area.


The use of the “S” shaped rim 1: The wrapped rim of a storage appliance can be processed by inserting the edge of product 2 and edge of product 3 into the slot 11 and slot 12 simultaneously with the openings of the “S” shaped rim unwrapped. Because the inserting slots 11 and 12 are oriented in opposite direction, the edges of slot 11 and slot 12 are made to parallel by compressing the “S” shaped rim. This compression results in wrapping of sidewall and bottom of product, or connection along one edge of cross section or the edges in two parallel planes.


The section to be touched frequently is made into arc shape after wrapping the rim; the wrapped rim 1 is not only protective and aesthetic, but also with high safety performance and high strength.


The embodiments described above are the preferred embodiment of the invention, but the invention is not limited to above embodiments. Any other changes in the spirit of principles in the invention including modification, replacement, combinations, simplification of the replacement pattern should be equivalent, are included within the scope of the present invention.

Claims
  • 1. A wrapped rim including the cross section of wrapped rim is “S” shaped, the openings of upper and lower edge of “S” shaped wrapped rim are as the first and second inserting slots.
  • 2. A wrapped rim mentioned in claim 1, including the first and the second slots of the “S” shaped rim defined as the slot which uses the edge of product to be wrapped as inserts.
  • 3. A wrapped rim mentioned in claim 1 or 2, including the openings of the first and second inserting slots of the “S” shaped rim that are oriented in opposite direction.
  • 4. A wrapped rim mentioned in claim 3, including the “S” shaped rim that is an integrated assembly.
  • 5. A wrapped rim mentioned in claim 4, including the “S” shaped rim that is made of metal.
