The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
The present invention relates generally to the field of support stands and more specifically relates to a jewelry stand.
It is conventional to employ small individual stands to display wrist watches in a way that is more aesthetically pleasing and space-efficient. Those stands also allow watches to be displayed at a proper angle and to be easily manipulated. A typical prior art display stand comprises a generally C-shaped holder that engages a wrist watch over a continuous section. Such display stands do not, however, possess sufficient flexibility to fit wrist watches with widely varying wristband dimensions. Consequently, a retailer must purchase such display stands in various sizes to accommodate the different sizes of the wristwatches to be displayed. A suitable solution is desired.
U.S. Pub. No. 2,650,785 to Aaron Haister relates to a wrist watch stand. The described wrist watch stand includes a stand of simple mechanical construction, having a base and an upstanding U-shape frame, which will support the watch so that its dial and hands will be held clearly exposed for ready observation, the straps being disposed behind the watch, so as to permit of unobstructed display of the face of the watch.
In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known support stand art, the present disclosure provides a novel wrist watch stand. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a functional wrist watch stand capable of displaying and holding watches of varying sizes in an accessible and viewable manner.
A wrist watch stand is disclosed herein. The wrist watch stand includes a support stand assembly having a stabilizing base, a cylindrical center post, and a three-dimensional representation of a human head. The cylindrical center post has a first-end and a second-end, the first-end is coupled to the stabilizing base and the three-dimensional representation of the human head is configured at the second-end. The cylindrical center post is supported in a vertical position extending from the stabilizing base. The cylindrical center post includes a plurality of functional curvatures, the curvatures provide varying thicknesses of the cylindrical center post. The support stand assembly is configured to support and functionally organize a plurality of jewelry items along the cylindrical center post.
For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and methods of use for the present disclosure, a wrist watch stand, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present disclosure.
The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a support stand and more particularly to a functional wrist watch stand as used to improve the use of jewelry stands.
Generally, the present invention includes a support stand having a cylindrical center post mounted on a stabilizing base. The center post may be padded and shaped to resemble a man or woman's body from head to hip. This center post allows for the stacking and securing of watches, so as to remove any clutter from a countertop area. This also displays the watches in such a way to allow for the user to easily select and remove whichever watch they desire.
