Claims
- 1. A writing nib comprising:
- an elongated nib body of generally rectangular cross-sectional configuration to establish two pairs of opposite side surfaces extending between opposite ends of the body, said body having a layered construction to include a pair of relatively rigid reinforcing layers of plastic material coextensive with one of said pair of opposite side surfaces and a central layer of relatively soft wicking material of porous thermoplastic material sandwiched between and secured uniformly to said reinforcing layers and coextensive therewith, said wicking material being exposed along the length of said other pair of opposite side surfaces and projecting beyond said reinforcing layers on at least one end of said body to establish a writing tip.
- 2. The apparatus recited in claim 1 wherein said rigid layers of plastic material are of a composition different than the composition of said wicking material.
- 3. The apparatus recited in claim 1 wherein said rigid layers are fused to said wicking material.
