Claims
- 1. A catalyst composition comprising:
- a crystalline zeolite material characterized by a constraint index of within the approximate range of 1 to 12 and a silica to alumina mole ratio of at least 12, said zeolite being selected from ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-12, ZSM-23, ZSM-35, ZSM-38 and ZSM-48;
- said zeolite further comprising at least 0.25 weight percent of one or more Group VA metals incorporated into said zeolite in the form of a Group VA metal oxide and at least 0.25 weight percent of phosphorus incorporated into said zeolite in the form of an oxide of phosphorus.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein said Group IA metal is vanadium.
- 3. The composition of claim 2 wherein vanadium comprises between 1 and 30 weight percent of said composition.
- 4. The composition of claim 1 wherein said Group VA metal is niobium.
- 5. The composition of claim 4 wherein said niobium comprises between 1 and 35 weight percent of said composition.
- 6. The composition of claim 1 wherein said Group VA metal is tantalum.
- 7. The composition of claim 6 wherein said tantalum comprises between 1 and 40 weight percent of said zeolite.
- 8. The composition of claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 wherein said zeolite is chosen from the group consisting of ZSM-5 and ZSM-11.
- 9. The composition of claim 8 wherein said zeolite is ZSM-5.
- 10. The composition of claim 8 wherein said zeolite is admixed with a binder therefor.
