- 10. The zipper according to claim 4, wherein the part has indentions therein generally perpendicularly aligned and positioned with respect to the longitudinal extension of the part.
- 11. The zipper according to claim 10, wherein the part has indentions therein bounded by generally planar surfaces, one or more of the planar surfaces being positioned at about right angles with respect to another adjacent planar surface or surfaces.
- 12. The zipper according to claim 11, wherein the part has planar surfaces positioned generally perpendicularly to the longitudinal extension of the part.
- 13. The zipper according to claim 4, wherein a portion of the part carries a regime of colored thermoplastic material continually and longitudinally therealong.
- 14. The zipper according to claim 4, wherein either or both of the profiles are comprised of a colored thermoplastic material.
- 15. The zipper according to claim 4, wherein the groove profile has longitudinally extending groove arms, the groove arms being interlockable with the part, the groove profile having indentions therein intermittently therealong.
- 16. The zipper according to claim 4, wherein the part is longitudinally extending spaced-apart and generally parallely-disposed rib arms, the groove profile having longitudinally extending spaced-apart and generally parallely-disposed groove arms, the rib arms and the groove arms being interlockable, the rib arms having indentions therein intermittently therealong.
- 17. A thermoplastic reclosable bag, the bag having the zipper of claim 4 about an opening thereof.
- 18. A zipper for a reclosable thermoplastic bag, comprising: two opposing, longitudinally extending interlockable rib and groove profiles, at least one of the profiles having a longitudinally extending part interlockable with the opposing profile, the part defining at least first and second segments therealong, the first and second segments being different in shape, the part of being substantially free of interdigitation with the opposing zipper profile.
- 19. The zipper according to claim 18, wherein the first and second segments alternate therealong.
- 20. The zipper according to claim 18, wherein the part is a longitudinally extending head, the head defining the first and second segments therealong.
- 21. The zipper according to claim 20, wherein the first and second segments alternate therealong.
- 22. The zipper according to claim 20, wherein the first segments define a longitudinally extending head bulbous in shape and the second segments define a generally clover-shaped longitudinally extending head.
- 23. The zipper according to claim 18, wherein a portion of the part carries a regime of colored thermoplastic material continually and longitudinally therealong.
- 24. The zipper according to claim 18, wherein either or both of the profiles are comprised of a colored thermoplastic material.
- 25. The zipper according to claim 18, wherein the groove profile defines longitudinally extending groove arms, the groove arms being interlockable with the part, the groove arms defining the first and second segments therealong.
- 26. The zipper according to claim 18, wherein the part is longitudinally extending spaced-apart and generally parallely-disposed rib arms, the groove profile having longitudinally extending spaced-apart and generally parallely-disposed groove arms, the rib arms and the groove arms being interlockable, the rib arms defining the first and second segments therealong.
