Claims
- 1. A zoom lens barrel comprising:
- a cam barrel;
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group, said first and second lens groups being connected to said cam barrel; and
- a rotating mechanism for rotating said cam barrel,
- wherein said first and second lens groups are moved at the same time according to the rotation of said cam barrel so as to switch focal length of said zoom lens stepwise and adjust focal point of said zoom lens, a gap between said first and second lens groups being changed during the adjustment of said focal point.
- 2. The zoom lens barrel of claim 1, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a concave lens.
- 3. The zoom lens barrel of claim 1, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 4. The zoom lens barrel of claim 3 wherein a moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said rotating mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 5. The zoom lens barrel of claim 3, wherein a first moving ratio of said second lens group is greater than that of said first lens group when said rotating mechanism switches the focal length of said zoom lens from wide to telescopic, and a second moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said rotating mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 6. A zoom lens barrel comprising:
- a cam barrel;
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group; and
- a moving mechanism for moving said first and second lens groups,
- wherein said moving mechanism stepwise switches focal length of said zoom lens by moving said first and second lens groups, said moving mechanism adjusting focal point of said zoom lens by moving said first and second lens groups while changing a gap between said first and second lens groups after a predetermined focal length is selected.
- 7. The zoom lens barrel of claim 6, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a concave lens.
- 8. The zoom lens barrel of claim 6, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 9. The zoom lens barrel of claim 8, wherein a moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said moving mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 10. The zoom lens barrel of claim 8, wherein a first moving ratio of said second lens group is greater than that of said first lens group when said moving mechanism switches the focal length of said zoom lens from wide to telescopic, and a second moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said moving mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 11. A zoom lens barrel comprising:
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group, said second lens group including a cam;
- a cam barrel having a cam groove for engaging said cam, said cam engaging said cam groove while a focusing operation is conducted; and
- a rotating mechanism for rotating said cam barrel,
- wherein said first and second lens groups are moved at the same time according to the rotation of said cam barrel so as to switch focal length of said zoom lens stepwise and adjust focal point of said zoom lens, and
- said cam groove extending beyond an infinity focusing position and a close range focusing position so that a length of said cam groove is longer than a distance between the infinity focusing position and the close focusing position.
- 12. The zoom lens barrel of claim 11, wherein said second lens group further includes a lens frame for holding a lens, and wherein said cam is disposed on said lens frame.
- 13. The zoom lens barrel of claim 12, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 14. The zoom lens barrel of claim 11, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 15. The zoom lens barrel of claim 11, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 16. A zoom lens barrel comprising:
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group, said first lens group including a first lens frame for holding a first lens, and said second lens group including a cam;
- a cam barrel having a first helicoid disposed on an inner surface of said cam barrel, a second helicoid disposed on an outer surface of said cam barrel and a cam groove disposed on said inner surface of said cam barrel, said first helicoid engaging said first lens frame, said second helicoid engaging a fixed barrel and said cam groove engaging said cam;
- a rotating mechanism for rotating said cam barrel,
- wherein said first and second lens groups are moved according to the rotation of said cam barrel so as to adjust focal point of said zoom lens.
- 17. The zoom lens barrel of claim 16, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a concave lens.
- 18. The zoom lens barrel of claim 16, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 19. The zoom lens barrel of claim 16, wherein said second lens group further includes a second lens frame for holding a second lens, and wherein said cam is disposed on said second lens frame.
- 20. The zoom lens barrel of claim 19, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 21. The zoom lens barrel of claim 20, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a convex lens.
- 22. The zoom lens barrel of claim 20, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 23. The zoom lens barrel of claim 19, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a convex lens.
- 24. The zoom lens barrel of claim 19, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 25. The zoom lens barrel of claim 16, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 26. A camera comprising:
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group, said second lens group including a cam;
- a cam barrel having a cam groove for engaging said cam, said cam engaging said cam groove while a focusing operation is conducted; and
- a rotating mechanism for rotating said cam barrel,
- wherein said first and second lens groups cam moved at the same time according to the rotation of said cam barrel so as to switch focal length of said zoom lens stepwise and adjust focal point of said zoom lens, and
- said cam groove extending beyond an infinity focusing position and a close range focusing position so that a length of said cam groove is longer than a distance between the infinity focusing position and the close focusing position.
- 27. The camera of claim 26, wherein said second lens group further includes a lens frame for holding a lens, and wherein said cam is disposed on said lens frame.
- 28. The camera of claim 27, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 29. The camera of claim 26, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 30. The camera of claim 26, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 31. A camera comprising:
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group, said first lens group including a first lens frame for holding a first lens, and said second lens group including a cam;
- a cam barrel having a first helicoid disposed on an inner surface of said cam barrel, a second helicoid disposed on an outer surface of said cam barrel and a cam groove disposed on said inner surface of said cam barrel, said first helicoid engaging said first lens frame, said second helicoid engaging a fixed barrel and said cam groove engaging said cam; and
- a rotating mechanism for rotating said cam barrel,
- wherein said first and second lens groups are moved according to the rotation of said cam barrel so as to adjust focal point of said zoom lens.
- 32. The camera of claim 31, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a concave lens.
- 33. The camera of claim 31, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 34. The camera of claim 31, wherein said second lens group further includes a second lens frame for holding a second lens, and wherein said cam is disposed on said second lens frame.
- 35. The camera of claim 34, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 36. The camera of claim 35, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a convex lens.
- 37. The camera of claim 35, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 38. The camera of claim 34, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a convex lens.
- 39. The camera of claim 34, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 40. The camera of claim 31, wherein said cam comprises a cam pin.
- 41. A camera comprising;
- a cam barrel;
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group, said first and second lens groups being connected to said cam barrel; and
- a rotating mechanism for rotating said cam barrel,
- wherein said first and second lens groups are moved at the same time according to the rotation of said cam barrel so as to switch focal length of said zoom lens stepwise and
- adjust focal point of said zoom lens, a gap between said first and second lens groups being changed during the adjustment of said focal point.
- 42. The camera of claim 41, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a concave lens.
- 43. The camera of claim 41, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 44. The camera of claim 43, wherein a moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said rotating mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 45. The camera of claim 43, wherein a first moving ratio of said second lens group is greater than that of said first lens group when said rotating mechanism switches the focal length of said zoom lens from wide to telescopic, and a second moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said rotating mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 46. A camera comprising:
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group;
- a first lens frame for holding said first lens group;
- a second lens frame for holding said second lens group;
- a cam pin disposed on said second lens frame;
- a cam barrel having a helicoid for engaging said first lens frame and a cam groove for engaging said cam pin; and
- a rotating mechanism for rotating said cam barrel,
- wherein said first and second lens groups are moved at the same time according to the rotation of said cam barrel so as to switch a focal length of said zoom lens stepwise and adjust a focal point of said zoom lens, a gap between said first and second lens group being changed during the adjustment of said focal point.
- 47. The camera of claim 46, wherein said cam pin engages said first cam groove during the adjustment of said focal point and said cam pin engages said second cam groove during the switching of said focal length.
- 48. The camera of claim 47, wherein said first and said second cam grooves communicate with each other.
- 49. The camera of claim 46, wherein said cam groove includes a first cam groove and a second cam groove.
- 50. A camera comprising:
- a cam barrel;
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group; and
- a moving mechanism for moving said first and second lens groups,
- wherein said moving mechanism stepwise switches focal length of said zoom lens by moving said first and second lens groups, said moving mechanism adjusting focal point of
- said zoom lens by moving said first and second lens groups while changing a gap between said first and second lens groups after a predetermined focal length is selected.
- 51. The camera of claim 50, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a concave lens.
- 52. The camera of claim 50, wherein said second lens group is located farther from an object than said first lens group.
- 53. The camera of claim 52, wherein a moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said moving mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 54. The camera of claim 52, wherein a first moving ratio of said second lens group is greater than that of said first lens group when said moving mechanism switches the focal length of said zoom lens from wide to telescopic, and a second moving ratio of said second lens group is less than that of said first lens group when said moving mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens from infinity to a close range point.
- 55. A camera comprising:
- a zoom lens including a first lens group and a second lens group located farther from an object than said first lens group;
- a first lens frame for holding said first lens group therein;
- a second lens frame for holding said second lens group therein;
- a cam barrel having a helicoid for engaging said first lens frame;
- a first cam groove disposed on said cam barrel;
- a second cam groove disposed on said cam barrel;
- a cam pin, disposed on said second lens frame, for engaging said first and second cam grooves,
- wherein said cam pin engages said first cam groove while a focusing operation is conducted and said cam pin engages said second cam groove while a focal length switching operation is conducted; and
- a moving mechanism for moving said first and second lens groups,
- wherein said moving mechanism stepwise switches focal length of said zoom lens by moving said first and second lens groups, said moving mechanism adjusting a focal point of said zoom lens by moving said first and second lens groups while changing a gap between said first and second lens groups after a predetermined focal length is selected.
- 56. The camera of claim 55, wherein said moving mechanism rotates said cam barrel so as to move said first and second lens groups.
- 57. The camera of claim 55, wherein said first cam groove is positioned perpendicular to an optical axis of said zoom lens and said second cam groove is positioned at an incline with respect to said optical axis.
- 58. The camera of claim 55, wherein said first and said second cam grooves communicate with each other.
- 59. The camera of claim 55, wherein said first lens group has a convex lens and said second lens group has a concave lens.
- 60. The camera of claim 55, wherein said moving mechanism adjusts said focal point of said zoom lens by moving said first and second lens groups relative to said cam barrel.
