Claims
- 1. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function, comprising, from front to rear:a first lens unit of positive refractive power; a second lens unit of negative refractive power; a third lens unit of positive refractive power; a fourth lens unit of negative refractive power; a fifth lens unit of positive refractive power; and a sixth lens unit of negative refractive power, wherein said second lens unit is stationary during zooming, and zooming is performed by varying separations between said lens units, wherein said second lens unit is made to move in a direction substantially perpendicular to an optical axis so as to correct shaking of an image, and wherein said zoom lens satisfies the following condition: 0.15<|fa/{square root over (fW·fT)}|<0.5 where fa is the focal length of said second lens unit, and fW and fT are shortest and longest focal lengths of said zoom lens, respectively.
- 2. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function according to claim 1, wherein, during zooming from a wide-angle end to a telephoto end, letting the separations between the i-th and (i+1)st lens units for the wide-angle end and the telephoto end be denoted by DiW and DiT, respectively, said lens units are made to move in such relation as to satisfy the following conditions:D1W<D1T D2W>D2T D3W<D3T D5W>D5T.
- 3. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function according to claim 1, wherein 0.3<|f4/fT|<10.0, where f4 is the focal length of said fourth lens unit.
- 4. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function according to claim 1, wherein 0.1<|fa/fT|<0.18.
- 5. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function according to claim 1, wherein 0.12<|f6/fT|<0.3, where f6 is the focal length of said sixth lens unit.
- 6. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function according to claim 1, wherein said fourth lens consists of a single negative lens.
- 7. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function according to claim 1, wherein said fourth lens consists of a single negative lens of meniscus form convex toward the image side.
- 8. A zoom lens having an image stabilizing function according to claim 1, wherein said third lens unit consists of a positive lens and a cemented lens of a positive lens and a negative lens, wherein said fifth lens unit consists of (a) a cemented lens of a positive lens and a negative lens and (b) a positive lens, or said fifth lens unit consists of a positive lens and a negative lens, and wherein said sixth lens unit consists of a negative lens and a cemented lens of a positive lens and a negative lens, or said sixth lens unit consists of a cemented lens of a negative lens and a positive lens, or said sixth lens unit consists of a negative lens and a positive lens.
