Claims
- 1. A zoom lens of the rear focus type comprising, from an object side to an image side, a first lens unit of positive refractive power, a second lens unit of negative refractive power, a third lens unit of positive refractive power having a stop, and a fourth lens unit of positive refractive power, wherein during zooming from a wide-angle end to a telephoto end, said first lens unit is stationary, and said second lens unit is moved toward an image side, said third lens unit and said stop are moved in unison in a locus convex toward an object side and said fourth lens unit is moved in a locus convex toward the object side, wherein during focusing, said fourth lens unit is moved, and wherein when the outer diameter of the most object side lens of said zoom lens is denoted by .o slashed..sub.1 and the focal length of the entire system in the wide-angle end is denoted by Fw, the following condition is satisfied:
- 0.10<Fw/.o slashed..sub.1 <0.23.
- 2. A zoom lens of the rear focus type according to claim 1, wherein said stop is disposed nearest to the object side in said third lens unit.
- 3. A zoom lens of the rear focus type comprising a plurality of lens units including at least a first lens unit of positive refractive power, a second lens unit of negative refractive power, a third lens unit, and a fourth lens unit, in order from an object side,
- wherein at least one of said third lens unit and said fourth lens unit are moved to effect focusing,
- wherein, letting the outer diameter of a most object side lens of said zoom lens be denoted by .o slashed..sub.1 and the focal length of the entire system in a wide-angle end by Fw, the following condition is satisfied:
- 0.145<Fw/.o slashed..sub.1 <0.19, and
- wherein said zoom lens further comprises a stop located just to the object side of said third lens unit, and
- wherein at the time of zooming from the wide-angle end to a telephoto end, said first lens unit is stationary, said second lens unit moves toward an image side and said third lens unit and said stop move in unison in a locus convex toward t he object side.
- 4. A zoom lens of the rear focus type according to claim 3, wherein said third lens unit is of positive refractive power and said fourth lens unit is of positive refractive power,
- wherein during zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, said fourth lens unit is moved to compensate for the shift of an image plane resulting from the zooming, and
- wherein during focusing, said fourth lens unit is moved.
- 5. A zoom lens of the rear focus type according to claim 4, wherein during zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, said fourth lens unit is moved in a locus convex toward the object side.
