DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

According to the present invention there is provided a device using a high pressure compressed gas that can go up to 1,000 at′ and even more, for launching fluid as gas or liquid, for preventing car accidents, or reducing damages, and for reducing damage during rapid descent and low altitude flying of airplanes and helicopters, and for any other uses that would be applicable for such a device.

The principles and operation of the device according to the present invention may be better understood with reference to the drawings and accompanying descriptions.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, As described for example in FIGS. 1a,1b the device-10 comprises the following: 1) a pressure resistant gas container, referred here also as a gas cylinder (that can be in other shape than cylindrical), for holding high pressure compressed gas; 2) at least one tap connected to the gas cylinder for releasing the compressed gas.

According to still further features in the described preferred embodiments, as described for example in FIGS. 1b,1c,1d, the device-10 can also comprises at least one launch tube-11 connected to said tap-12 to increase the power of the released gas, and to direct it.

As described for example in FIG. 1b, the tap-12 can be build with some kind of a launch tube or the like as one unit.

As described for example in FIG. 1c, the launch tube-11 can be in the shape of a straight tube, but it can also have any kind of shape and size, such as round or bent shape, as described for example in FIGS. 1b,1c,1d. Further more the launch tube-11 can be with any size as needed.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, As described for example in FIG. 1c,1d, the tap-12 connecting between the gas cylinder-13 and the launch tube-11, and by opening the tap-12 the compressed gas is passes from the gas cylinder-13 through the tap to the launch tube-11, for launching the compressed gas with or without a liquid.

As described for example in FIGS. 1a,1b,1c,1d,2,3,4, the device is operating by opening said tap, and enabling the compressed gas go out by force from the gas cylinder, activating force on and from the device. Also the tap-12 can be connected a launch tube-11, to increase the power of the released fluid, and to direct it.

The gas cylinder can be constantly fixed to the device as in one kind of device, and it should be refilled each time its empty, for example, by using a compressor, or it can be detachable, preferably having a fast connection to be easily taken apart for simple replacement with a new full pressure gas cylinder when its get empty.

Further more the gas cylinder can have a safety valve for protecting from over pressure within the gas cylinder.

The pressure within the gas cylinder can go from about 4 Engineering atmosphere, up to 1,000 atmosphere, depending on the purpose of the device. For example only, for preventing car accidents, the pressure is estimated from 20 atmosphere up to 200 atmosphere and even more.

The gas cylinder should withstand the pressure of the gas held within, and it should be made of a strong substance such as for example only, from some kind of steel, and have the appropriate thickness, according to engineering specifications.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, As described for example in FIGS. 2,3, the device-10 can also comprise a pressure regulator-14 between the gas cylinder-13 or the tap-12 to the launch tube-11, for reducing the gas pressure that goes to the launch tube-11, so that the device-10 has flexibility of use. The positions of the tap and the pressure regulator-14 can be changed as and when required.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, As described for example in FIG. 1d, the device-10 the device can be installed on a vehicles (that can be also a train), for preventing vehicles accidents, or reducing damage. Further more, the device can also can be used for reducing damage during rapid descent and low altitude flying of airplanes and helicopters, and further more, the device can also can be used for shortening airplanes required runway length on landing, as well as on takeoff. Also the device can be used for other applications.

As described for example in FIG. 1d, by opening the tap-12, we launch the compressed air from the gas cylinder-13 with high speed and force through the launch tube-11, so it will produce a force that stops the moving car. A gas cylinder-13, with 200 at′, connected to a launch tube with a length of 2 meter and with a cross-section area of about 30 cmˆ2, can stop a moving car traveling at 90 km/h to 0 within about distance of 3 m.

According to still further features in the described preferred embodiments, as described for example only in FIGS. 1a,1b,1c,1d,2,3,4, it is recommended that the opening and the tap-18 of the gas cylinder-13 itself and all the taps-12 and all pressure regulators-14 and all fluid passages should be wide as much as possible.

As described for example in FIG. 2, the launch tube-11, the tap-12 and all other device's parts, are preferably have pressure resistant, and should be able to stand the maximum pressure that is provided by the pressure regulator-14, the pressure that the gas cylinder holds if there is no pressure regulator-14. And this should be designed according to engineering specifications.

The device, as described within all embodiments of the invention, is preferably operated automatically, using a radar, a laser beam, or the like, but it also can be operated manually, such as for example, the device could be activated when pushing hard on the brakes. Further more, part of or all the launch tube may be split to two or more tubes, or there can be more than one tap and/or more than one launch tube, for stabilizing the vehicle during operation and/or for other purposes such as preventing accidents with cars came from the side of the vehicle, or from behind.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, As described for example in FIGS. 2,3, the device-10 can also comprises some kind of liquid container-31 preferably should be (not have to) connected to the launch tube-11, for inserting liquid, and for launching it, with or without the compressed gas from the gas cylinder-13. As described for example in FIG. 2, the liquid can be sucked by the moving gas that passes through the launch tube, and as described in FIG. 3, someone also can use a gas pressure on the liquid container, for increasing the amount of the launched liquid. The liquid can be any appropriate liquid, and also it can be water.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, As described for example in FIG. 4, the device-10 can comprises a container-13 containing both the pressurized gas-19 and a liquid-16 within same container-13.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, said device can be operated manually or automatically, and can use parts that are operated mechanically and/or electrically and/or Electro-mechanically and/or pneumatically and/or any other way, using current technology. Also there can be used in said device, different kinds of mechanisms for the operation of the device, as used in current general engineering even if they are not mentioned here.

Also said device can comprise additionally some kind of compressor or hand pump to fill the gas cylinder with compressed air.

According to still further features in the described preferred embodiments the compressed gas can be air, which is the most convenient gas to use, since it is everywhere and cost nothing, or CO2 for better compressing, or if required, any other appropriate gas can be used.

According to still further features in the described preferred embodiments, said tap and said pressure regulator can be operated manually, electrically, pneumatically, or in any other possible way that exists in current engineering.

According to further features in preferred embodiments of the invention, As described for example in FIGS. 2,3, the device can also comprising a pressure-tubes-17 connecting the device's parts, and it should be able to stand the gas pressure that passes through it.

While the invention has been described with respect to a limited number of embodiments, it will be appreciated that many variations, modifications and other applications of the invention may be made.
