Claims
- 1. An adaptive manifold electrical wiring assembly with a plurality of programmable connections, said adaptive manifold comprised of:
one or more switchbox assemblies containing at least one non-volatile bistable MEMS relay switch; means for controlling said MEMS relay switches whereby each MEMS relay switch can be set and its state verified; and means for controlling a plurality of switchbox assemblies connected together.
- 2. The adaptive manifold of claim 1, wherein said switchbox assemblies contain at least one non-volatile multi-stable MEMS relay switch.
- 3. The adaptive manifold of claim 1, wherein the means to control the set and verify the state of each MEMS relay switch consists of at least two control termini and two operation termini, said control termini not being electrically coupled to said operation termini.
- 4. The adaptive manifold of claim 1, wherein zero or more bypass connections that do not necessarily involve any connection to a MEMS relay are included.
- 5. The adaptive manifold of claim 1, wherein said means to control a plurality of switchbox assemblies is an IEEE 1149.1 Joint Test Action Group or equivalent daisy-chained serial interface.
- 6. The adaptive manifold of claim 1, wherein said means to control a plurality of switchbox assemblies is through a serial multi-drop interface.
- 7. The adaptive manifold of claim 1, wherein said means to control a plurality of switchbox assemblies is through a parallel bus interface.
- 9. The adaptive manifold of claim 1, wherein said switchbox assemblies contain zero or more pass through signals.
