Claims
- 1. A deliver nozzle for cryogenic liquids comprising:
- a flow section having concentric passages for delivery of liquid and return flow of vapor;
- quick-disconnect valved fittings coupled separately to said passages;
- a handgrip displaced from said flow section and connected to said flow section by means which inhibit heat conduction between said handgrip and said flow section; and
- means for moving said valved fittings into flow coupling engagement with complementary valved fittings of an associated structure, said means for moving said valved fittings into flow coupling engagement comprising a lever pivotally connected to said handgrip.
- 2. A deliver nozzle as recited in claim 1, wherein said means for moving said valved fittings into flow coupling engagement further comprises a locking rod pivotally connected to said hand lever.
- 3. A delivery nozzle for cryogenic liquids comprising:
- a flow section including at least one fluid flow passage;
- first valve means for controlling fluid flow through the at least one fluid flow passage:
- a handgrip displaced from the flow section and connected to the flow section by means which inhibit heat conduction between the handgrip and the flow section;
- a hand lever pivotally connected to the hand grip; and
- means for effecting (1) coupling of the first valve means with a complementary valve means carried by an associated structure and (2) opening of both valve means to permit fluid flow through the fluid flow passage and the joint formed by both valve means, the means for effecting coupling and opening comprising a locking rod having a first end pivotally connected to the hand lever and a second end provided with a formation adapted to engage an abutment which is fixed to the complementary valve means.
- 4. A delivery nozzle as recited in claim 3, wherein:
- the flow section comprises two separate fluid flow passages;
- first and second valve means are coupled separately to each of the fluid flow passages;
- the means for effecting coupling and opening is operable to effect (1) coupling of the first and second valve means with first and second complementary valve means carried by an associated structure and (2) opening of the first and second valve means and the first and second complementary valve means to permit fluid flow through both of the fluid flow passages and the joints formed by the first and second valve means and the first and second complementary valve means.
- 5. A delivery muzzle as recited in claim 4, wherein:
- the separate fluid flow passages are concentrically arranged within the flow section.
- 6. A delivery nozzle as recited in claim 5, wherein:
- the inner one of the concentric fluid flow passages is adapted for delivery of liquid, and the outer one of the concentric fluid flow passages is adapted for return flow of vapor; and
- a liquid sensor is disposed in fluid flow communication with the outer one of the concentric fluid flow passages.
