Claims
- 1. An apparatus for preparing data for manufacturing a product or a part with a predetermined shape by using a bending press provided with detachable tools, the apparatus comprising:a computer memory storing bending operation support information obtained after successfully completing bending operations, the bending operation support information supporting an operator later performing bending operations on a workpiece while manufacturing the product or part, the bending operation support information being specific to the completed bending operations.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the computer memory further comprises:shape data relating to the part or product; bending order data specifying a bending order for manufacturing the part or product from the workpiece; and tool data that specifies tools for performing the bending operations to manufacture the part or product.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 2, in which the computer memory further comprises bending press control data for controlling the bending press to perform the bending operations in the bending order.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising:a system that aligns the tools in a longitudinal direction of the bending press before performing the bending operations; wherein the computer memory further comprises support information regarding an execution of the alignment of the tools in the longitudinal direction.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising:a system that performs an original-point adjustment operation to adjust an original point of a die with respect to a punch; wherein the computer memory further comprises supporting information regarding an execution of the original-point adjustment operation.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising:a system that executes a trial bending operation for each of the bending operations to be performed on the workpiece; wherein the computer memory further comprises support information regarding a frequency of checking an accuracy of dimensions of the workpiece.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising:a system that performs an original-point adjustment operation to determine an original point of a die with respect to a punch; wherein the computer memory further comprises control data D, L and Yz for performing the bending operations with the bending press, wherein D specifies a vertical position of the die relative to the original point of the die, L specifies a position of a backgauge device in a lateral direction relative to a central position of the die, and Yz specifies a vertical position of the backgauge device relative to a top end position of the die.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:a system that aligns tools in a longitudinal direction of the bending press before performing the bending operation; wherein the computer memory further comprises support information regarding an execution of the alignment of tools in the longitudinal direction.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:a system that performs an original-point adjustment operation to adjust an original point of a die with respect to a punch; wherein the computer memory further comprises support information regarding an execution of the original-point adjustment operation.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:a system that executes a trial bending operation for each of the bending operations to be performed on the workpiece; wherein the computer memory further comprises support information regarding a frequency of checking an accuracy of dimensions of the workpiece.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:a system that performs an original-point adjustment operation to determine an original point of a die with respect to a punch; and wherein the computer memory further comprises control data D, L and Yz for performing the bending operations with the bending press, wherein D specifies a vertical position of the die relative to the original point of the die, L specifies a position of a backgauge device in a lateral direction relative to a central position of the die, and Yz specifies a vertical position of the backgauge device relative to a top end position of the die.
- 12. An apparatus for generating data for manufacturing a part by bending a workpiece along a plurality of bending lines with a bending press that includes detachable tools, the apparatus comprising:a first portion of a computer memory storing data for a shape of the part, and data indicating an order of bending operations in which the workpiece is bent along the bending lines; a tool selector that selects tools for performing each of the bending operations along the bending lines; a second portion of the computer memory storing data for the selected tools, bending press control data for controlling the bending press to perform the bending operations in the bending order, and bending operation support information obtained after successfully completing bending operations, the bending operation support information supporting an operator later performing bending operations with the bending press, wherein the bending operation support information comprises support information regarding operation of at least one of the following: attaching protective tape on a shoulder of a die; arranging small tools on the bending press so that a punch and a die are laterally shifted from each other; attaching a small die on a ram with fixing tape; aligning a punch and a die relative to each other in a longitudinal direction; determining an original point of a punch or a die relative to the other; positioning the workpiece relative to a punch and a die; positioning the workpiece relative to a backgauge device; and inspecting dimensions of a shape of the workpiece after performing one of the bending operations.
- 13. An apparatus for manufacturing a part by bending a workpiece along a plurality of bending lines with a bending press that includes a detachable tool, the apparatus comprising:a first portion of a computer memory storing data for a shape of the part, and data indicating a bending order for manufacturing the part from the workpiece; a tool selector that selects tools for performing each of the bending operations in the bending order; a second portion of the computer memory storing data for specifying the selected tools, and bending press control data for controlling the bending press to perform each of the bending operations; a mounting system that mounts the selected tools on the bending press; a bending system that bends the workpiece in the bending order according to the bending press control data for each of the bending operations; and a third portion of the computer memory storing bending operation support information that supports an operator later performing bending operations, wherein the bending operation support information comprises support information regarding operation of at least one of the following: attaching protective tape on a shoulder of a die; arranging small tools on the bending press so that a punch and a die are laterally shifted from each other; attaching a small die on a ram with fixing tape; aligning a punch and a die relative to each other in a longitudinal direction; determining an original point of a punch or a die relative to the other; positioning the workpiece relative to a punch and a die; positioning the workpiece relative to a backgauge device; and checking a dimension of a shape of the workpiece after performing one of the bending operations.
- 14. An apparatus for manufacturing a part by bending a workpiece along a plurality of bending lines with a bending press, the apparatus comprising:a system that determines a bending order and tools to manufacture the part in accordance with a shape of the part; a first portion of a computer memory storing the determined bending order and the tools; a selector that selects the determined tools from a tool storage; a system that determines an arrangement of the tools on the bending press; a second portion of the computer memory storing the determined arrangement of the tools; a mounting system that mounts the tools on the bending press in accordance with the determined arrangement; a determining system that determines an attitude of the workpiece to be fed into the bending press at each bending step; a third portion of the computer memory storing the determined attitude of the workpiece for each bending step; and a feeder that feeds the workpiece into the bending press with the attitude for each bending step, wherein the bending press bends the workpiece along the bending lines.
- 15. An apparatus that generates data for manufacturing a part by bending a workpiece with a bending press, the apparatus comprising:a first portion of a computer memory storing data that specifies a shape of the part, data indicating an order for performing bending operations on the workpiece with the bending press, and data that specifies a punch and a die for performing each of the bending operations; a system that performs an original-point adjustment operation to adjust an original point of the die with respect to the punch; a second portion of the computer memory storing bending operation support information regarding an execution of the original-point adjustment operation, the bending operation support information being obtained after successfully executing the original-point adjustment operation; a system that executes a trial bending operation for each of the bending operations to be performed on the workpiece; and a third portion of the computer memory storing bending operation support information regarding a frequency of checking an accuracy of dimensions of the workpiece, the bending operation support information being obtained after successfully executing the trial bending operation.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 15, further comprising a fourth portion of the computer memory storing control data D, L and Yz for performing the bending operations with the bending press, wherein D specifies a vertical position of the die relative to the original point of the die, L specifies a position of a backgauge device in a lateral direction relative to a central position of the die, and Yz specifies a vertical position of the backgauge device relative to a top end position of the die.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 16, further comprising a fifth portion of the computer memory storing bending operation support information that specifies dimensions of the workpiece to be checked for accuracy, and a system that modifies the control data D and L, during a trial bending operation, when the dimensions of the workpiece are checked and determined to be outside a predetermined tolerance.
- 18. An apparatus for generating data for manufacturing a part by bending a workpiece with a bending press, the apparatus comprising:a first portion of a computer memory storing data that specifies a shape of the part, data indicating an order for performing bending operations on the workpiece with the bending press, and data that specifies a punch and a die for performing each of the bending operations; a system that determines an arrangement of the tools on the bending press; a mounting system that mounts the tools on the bending press in accordance with the determined arrangement; a system that performs an original-point adjustment operation to adjust an original point of the die with respect to the punch; a second portion of the computer memory storing bending operation support information regarding an execution of the original-point adjustment operation; a system that executes a trial bending operation for each of the bending operations to be performed on the workpiece; and a third portion of the computer memory storing control data D, L and Yz for performing the bending operations with the bending press, wherein D specifies a vertical position of the die relative to the original point of the die, L specifies a position of a backgauge device in a lateral direction relative to a central position of the die, and Yz specifies a vertical position of the backgauge device relative to a top end position of the die.
- 19. The apparatus of claim 18, further comprising:a fourth portion of the computer memory storing bending operation support information regarding a frequency of checking an accuracy of dimensions of the workpiece, and bending operation support information that specifies dimensions of the workpiece to be checked for accuracy; and a system that modifies the control data D and L, during a trial bending operation, when the dimensions of the workpiece are checked and determined to be outside a predetermined tolerance.
