Claims
- 1. A method of providing cooling to a carbon dioxide dry cleaning system employing a liquid carbon dioxide cleaning solution to clean articles, comprising the steps of:
decreasing pressure in a first tank; vaporizing solution in the first tank to form carbon dioxide vapor; and transferring vapor from the first tank to a vapor tank.
- 2. A method according to claim 1 wherein the first tank is a wash tank.
- 3. A method according to claim 1 wherein the first tank is a working tank.
- 4. A method according to claim 1 wherein the first tank is at a higher pressure than the vapor tank.
- 5. A method according to claim 1 further comprising the steps of:
pumping the carbon dioxide vapor from the vapor tank to a condenser utilizing a compressor; and condensing the vapor to form liquid carbon dioxide.
- 6. A method according to claim 5 further comprising the step of:
transferring the liquid carbon dioxide from the condenser to a working tank.
- 7. A method according to claim 5 further comprising the step of:
transferring the liquid carbon dioxide from the condenser to a liquid carbon dioxide collecting tank.
