- 2. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said heating chamber includes a tunnel oven with radiative heating elements.
- 3. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the laminated glazing assembly is further heated in said outlet lock.
- 4. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a broken-glass debris removing member, said broken-glass debris removing member being positioned near said conveyor belt in order to remove broken-glass debris from a surface of said conveyor belt.
- 5. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said conveying devices include a conveying device in said pressing chamber, said conveying device in said pressing chamber including a conveyor belt assembly having a conveyor belt on which the pre-form is conveyed during pressing of the pre-form.
- 6. The apparatus according to claim 5, further comprising a tensioning device corresponding to said conveyor belt of said conveyor belt assembly provided in said pressing chamber, wherein said tensioning device allows said conveyor belt, which is pre-tensioned, to be elastically moved away during pressing of the pre-form.
- 7. The apparatus according to claim 5, wherein at least one of said pressing pieces of said pressing chamber includes a first membrane located in a working chamber of said pressing chamber, said first membrane being subjected to variable pressure levels via a system of pipes and valves for actuating said membrane.
- 8. The apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said first membrane is placed beneath said conveyor belt of said conveyor belt assembly.
- 9. The apparatus according to claim 7, further comprising a solid surface which serves as a counterpart to said at least one of said pressing pieces, wherein said at least one of said pressing pieces is a second membrane.
- 10. The apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said first membrane includes two opposed membranes which can be actuated in opposite directions and which press the pre-form, once the pre-form is correctly positioned between said two opposed membranes.
- 11. An apparatus for laminating a pre-form, wherein the pre-form includes at least first and second solid panes superposed with respect to each other and having a layer of adhesive in between such that the pre-form is to be subjected to both pressure differences and heat differences, to form a laminated glazing assembly, said apparatus comprising:a conveyor for conveying the pre-form into a first chamber; inlet and outlet shutters for hermetically sealing said first chamber on inlet and outlet sides thereof; said first chamber for subjecting the pre-form to an overall vacuum by lowering an ambient pressure; a conveyor for conveying the pre-form under the overall vacuum to a vacuum region of a second chamber maintained at the overall vacuum, while maintaining the overall vacuum in said vacuum region of said second chamber; said second chamber being for heating the pre-form in said vacuum region to a predetermined temperature necessary to melt the layer of adhesive to begin adhesively bonding the at least first solid pane to the layer of adhesive, while maintaining the overall vacuum in said vacuum region of the second chamber; a conveyor for conveying the pre-form under the overall vacuum to a vacuum region of a third chamber maintained at the overall vacuum, while maintaining the overall vacuum in said vacuum regions of both said second and third chambers; said third chamber for pressing the pre-form in said vacuum region at the predetermined temperature using flexible pressing pieces to form the laminated glazing assembly, while maintaining the overall vacuum in said vacuum regions of both said second and third chambers; a conveyor for conveying the pre-form from said vacuum region of said third chamber to a venting region in a fourth chamber, while maintaining the overall vacuum in said vacuum regions of both said second and third chambers; and said fourth chamber for increasing the ambient pressure in said venting region of said fourth chamber to atmospheric pressure and thereby venting the laminated glazing assembly, while maintaining the overall vacuum in said vacuum regions of both said second and third chambers.
- 12. The apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said second chamber for heating the pre-form includes a tunnel oven with radiative heating elements.
- 13. The process according to claim 11, wherein said third chamber for pressing the pre-form includes at least one movable membrane for applying pressing forces against at least one of two main surfaces of the pre-form.
- 14. The apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said third chamber for pressing the pre-form includes a conveyor belt assembly having a conveyor belt against which the pre-form is pressed for transferring pressing forces to a main surface of the pre-form which faces said conveyor belt of said conveyor belt assembly.
