Claims
- 1. An apparatus for reproducing a multi-color image comprising
- a photoreceptor comprising an endless conductive member, a photoconductive layer, and an insulating layer having a plurality of colored filters wherein all of said layers are provided on an external surface of said conductive member,
- means for charging said photoreceptor,
- means for forming an electrostatic latent image upon said photoreceptor,
- means for uniformly exposing said photoreceptor to a plurality of specific lights,
- means for developing said electrostatic latent image to form a plurality of different toner images,
- means for providing a uniform potential upon the surface of said photoreceptor after development, and
- means for transferring said toner image on said photoreceptor to a transferring member wherein all of said means are arranged outside said photoreceptor and said uniform potential providing means is arranged between said image forming means and said transferring means along a rotating direction of said photoreceptor.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a cleaning means being urged against the surface of said photoreceptor during a cleaning mode and being released from said surface when said cleaning mode is not selected.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said electrostatic latlet image is formed during a single rotation of said photoreceptor.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein a developer layer on a developer carrying member of said developing means is spaced apart from said photoreceptor during developing.
- 5. An apparatus for reproducing a multi-color image comprising
- a photoreceptor comprising an endless conductive member, a photoconductive layer, and an insulating layer upon said photoconductive layer, said insulating layer including a filter layer having groups of fine filters distributed therein, each of said groups being capable of passing light only of a specific color wherein all of said layers are provided on an external surface of said conductive member,
- means for charging said photoreceptor,
- means for forming an electrostatic latent image upon said photoreceptor,
- means for uniformly exposing said photoreceptor to a plurality of lights of specific color,
- means for developing said electrostatic latent image to form a plurality of different toner images,
- means for providing a uniform potential upon the surface of said photoreceptor after development, and
- means for transferring said toner images on said photoreceptor to a transferring member wherein all of said means are arranged outside said photoreceptor and said uniform potential providing means is arranged between said image forming means and said transferring means along a rotating direction of said photoreceptor.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 5 further comprising a cleaning means being urged against the surface of said photoreceptor during a cleaning mode and being released from said surface when said cleaning mode is not selected.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 5 wherein said electrostatic latent image is formed during a single rotation of said photoreceptor.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 5 wherein a developer layer on a developer carrying member of said developing means is spaced apart from said photoreceptor during developing.
