Claims
- 1. An article consisting essentially of: waste, the waste consisting of a) radioactive waste, and b) hazardous waste, where, the radioactive waste is in metal form, and such metal constitutes more than 35 weight % of the article.
- 2. The article of claim 1 which, during use, is exposed to radioactive or hazardous waste and therefore may become further contaminated.
- 3. The article of claim 1, in the form of a contaminated waste article, made solely from cast, cooled, melted, radioactive metal components, where the melted metal used in the article is substantially free of slag residue and has a specific activity over 30 Bq/g.
- 4. The article of claim 1, in the form of a transportable container.
- 5. The article of claim 3, in the form of a transportable container.
- 6. An article, comprising a member, the member consisting essentially of metal of which more than 35 weight % of the metal is radioactive.
- 7. The article of claim 6, where the article is transportable and the radioactive metal is selected from the group consisting of nickel, chromium, iron, steel, and mixtures and alloys thereof.
- 8. A container, comprising a member, the member consisting essentially of metal of which more than 35 weight % of the metal is radioactive.
- 9. The container of claim 8, where the container is transportable and the radioactive metal is selected from the group consisting of nickel, chromium, iron, steel, and mixtures and alloys thereof.
