- forming an image of said odd-numbered document on a half area of one surface of said copy sheet;
- discharging the odd-numbered document from the exposure station and feeding a successive even-numbered document from said plurality of numbered documents to the exposure station;
- re-feeding the copy sheet to said image forming means; and
- forming an image of the even numbered document on the other half area of said one surface of said copy sheet;
- whereby the image of the odd-numbered document and the image of the even-numbered document are formed side by side on said copy sheet.
- 6. The method for controlling the copying apparatus claimed in claim 5, wherein said image of the odd-numbered document and said image of the even-numbered document are formed on said copy sheet side by side successively in a paper feed direction.
- 7. In a composite copying apparatus comprising a document support means for supporting a plurality of numbered documents, a document feeding means for feeding said documents one by one to an exposure station and for discharging the documents from the exposure station, image forming means for forming an image of one document on a copy sheet, sheet feeding means for feeding the copy sheet to the image forming means, and sheet re-feeding means for re-feeding the copy sheet to said image forming means, a method for controlling the copying apparatus comprising the steps of:
- feeding an odd-numbered document from said plurality of numbered documents supported by said document support means to said exposure station;
- feeding a copy sheet to said image forming means when said odd-numbered document is fed to said exposure station;
- forming an image of said odd-numbered document on a half area of one surface of said copy sheet;
- discharging the odd-numbered document from the exposure station and feeding an even-numbered document to the exposure station;
- re-feeding said copy sheet to said image forming means;
- forming an image of the even-numbered document on the other half area of said one surface of said copy sheet;
- whereby the image of the odd-numbered document and the image of the even-numbered document are formed side by side on said copy sheet.
- 8. The method for controlling the copying apparatus claimed in claim 7, wherein said image of the odd-numbered document and said image of the even-numbered document are formed on said copy sheet side by side successively in a paper feed direction.
- 9. In a composite copying apparatus comprising a document support means for supporting a plurality of odd-numbered and even-numbered documents, a document feeding means for feeding said documents one by one to an exposure station and for discharging the documents from the exposure station, image forming means for forming an image of one document on a copy sheet, sheet feeding means for feeding the copy sheet to the image forming means, and sheet-refeeding means for re-feeding the copy sheet to said image forming means, a method for controlling the copying apparatus comprising the steps of:
