Claims
- 1. A label useful for in-mold labeling which comprises a coextruded, biaxially orientated film comprising a base layer, which comprises a propylene polymer and at least one sealable top layer comprising an olefinic polymer, wherein the top layer comprises inorganic and/or organic particles and tertiary aliphatic amine of the formula I ##STR6## in which R.sup.1 is an unsaturated alkyl radical having at least 18 carbon atoms or an essentially saturated alkyl radical having 8 to 26 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are identical or different and are R.sup.4 --CH.sub.2 OH, in which R.sup.4 is an essentially saturated C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylene radical.
- 2. A label as claimed in claim 1, wherein the top layer comprises 0.1 to 2% by weight, based on the weight of the top layer, of inorganic and/or organic particles.
- 3. A label as claimed in claim 1, wherein the inorganic and/or organic particles have an average particle size of 1 to 6 .mu.m.
- 4. A label as claimed in claim 1, wherein the top layer comprises 0.05 to 2% by weight based on the weight of the top layer of tertiary aliphatic amine of the formula I.
- 5. A label as claimed in claim 1, wherein the top layer comprises inorganic particles having a particle size of 1 to 6 .mu.m.
- 6. A label as claimed in claim 1, wherein the top layer comprises CaCO.sub.3.
- 7. A label as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thickness of the top layer is 0.5 to 5 .mu.m.
- 8. A label as claimed in claim 1, wherein the film is opaque and the base layer additionally comprises fillers.
- 9. A label according to claim 1, wherein R.sup.1 is an unsaturated alkyl radical having at least 18 carbon atoms.
- 10. A label according to claim 1, wherein R.sup.1 is an essentially saturated alkyl radical having 8 to 26 carbon atoms.
- 11. A label according to claim 1, wherein the top layer comprises one or more of a copolymer of
- ethylene and propylene or
- ethylene and butylene or
- propylene and butylene or
- ethylene and another .alpha.-olefin having 5 to 10 carbon atoms or
- propylene and another .alpha.-olefin having 5 to 10 carbon atoms or
- terpolymer of
- ethylene and propylene and butylene or
- ethylene and propylene and another .alpha.-olefin having 5 to 10 carbon atoms.
- 12. A label useful for in-mold labeling which comprises a sealable, coextruded, biaxially orientated opaque film comprising a base layer which comprises a propylene polymer and filler, and at least one sealable top layer, wherein the top layer comprises inorganic and/or organic particles and tertiary aliphatic amine of the formula I ##STR7## in which R.sup.1 is an unsaturated alkyl radical having at least 18 carbon atoms or an essentially saturated alkyl radical having 8 to 26 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are identical or different and are R.sup.4 --CH.sub.2 OH, in which R.sup.4 is an essentially saturated C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylene radical.
- 13. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the film has a density of <0.7 g/cm.sup.3.
- 14. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the film comprises 5 to 25% by weight, based on the total weight of the film, of inorganic and/or organic particles and fillers.
- 15. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the base layer of the film comprises 3 to 20% by weight, based on the total weight of the film, of fillers.
- 16. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the top layer comprises 2 to 8% by weight, based on the weight of the top layer, of inorganic and/or organic particles.
- 17. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the inorganic and/or organic particles have an average particle size of 1 to 6 .mu.m.
- 18. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the filler of the base layer comprises CaCO.sub.3.
- 19. A label as claimed in claim 18, wherein the base layer comprises 10 to 15% by weight, based on the total weight of the film, of CaCO.sub.3.
- 20. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the top layer comprises 0.05 to 2% by weight based on the weight of the top layer of tertiary aliphatic amine of the formula I.
- 21. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the top layer comprises inorganic particles having a particle size of 1 to 6 .mu.m.
- 22. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the top layer comprises CaCO.sub.3.
- 23. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein a filler of the base layer comprises the same compound as particles of the top layer.
- 24. A label as claimed in claim 12, wherein the thickness of the top layer is 0.5 to 5 .mu.m.
- 25. A label as claimed in claim 12, which comprises said top layer on each side of the base layer, where the top layers are the same or different.
- 26. A label according to claim 12, wherein R.sup.1 is an unsaturated alkyl radical having at least 18 carbon atoms.
- 27. A label according to claim 26, wherein the top layer comprises 4 to 8% by weight based on the weight of the top layer of inorganic and/or organic particles.
- 28. A label according to claim 12, wherein R.sup.1 is an essentially saturated alkyl radical having 8 to 26 carbon atoms.
- 29. A label according to claim 28, wherein the top layer comprises 4 to 8% by weight based on the weight of the top layer of inorganic and/or organic particles.
- 30. A label according to claim 12, wherein the top layer comprises one or more of a copolymer of
- ethylene and propylene or
- ethylene and butylene or
- propylene and butylene or
- ethylene and another .alpha.-olefin having 5 to 10 carbon atoms or
- propylene and another .alpha.-olefin having 5 to 10 carbon atoms or
- terpolymer of
- ethylene and propylene and butylene or
- ethylene and propylene and another .alpha.-olefin having 5 to 10 carbon atoms.
