Claims
- 1. The method for the treatment of a mammal suffering from pain which comprises administering to the mammal an effective non-toxic pain treatment amount of the compound Tyr.D-Met.Gly.Phe(4NO.sub.2).Pro.NH.sub.2 or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition thereof.
- 2. The method of claim 1 in which the compound or salt is administered in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier in a form suitable for oral or parenteral administration.
- 3. The method for the treatment of a mammal suffering from pain which comprises administering to the mammal an effective non-toxic pain treatment amount of the compound Tyr.D-Met.(O).Gly.Phe(4NO.sub.2) or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
- 4. The method of claim 3 in which the compound or salt is administered in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier in a form for oral or parenteral administration.
