Claims
- 1. A caller identification messaging device, comprising:
a database of caller identification messaging profiles including at least one of (i) a caller identification message, (ii) an identifier of a calling party, and (iii) a destination communications address of a receiving party's communications device; a processor, the processor operating with a caller identification messaging program for accessing, inputting, outputting, and generating a caller identification messaging signal, the caller identification messaging signal including the caller identification message and at least one of (i) the identifier of the calling party, (ii) the destination communications address, and (iii) an identifier of at least one of a calling party's communications device and the caller identification messaging device, and the processor further operating with a communications device interface for formatting and communicating the caller identification messaging signal with a communications network, the communications network communicating at least the caller identification message and the caller identification messaging signal to the destination communications address; the caller identification messaging program residing in memory, the caller identification messaging program for generating the caller identification messaging signal, the caller identification messaging signal including at least one of selected data stored in the database of caller identification messaging profiles and data input into the caller identification messaging device; and the communications device interface for communicating the caller identification messaging signal between the caller identification messaging device and at least one of the communications network and the calling party's communications device.
- 2. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, wherein the caller identification messaging device enables communication of the caller identification messaging signal with at least one of a plurality of communications devices, the plurality of communications devices comprising a wireless communications device, a POTS phone, a mobile phone, a wireless phone, a WAP phone, an IP phone, a satellite phone, a computer, a modem, a pager, a digital music device, a digital recording device, a personal digital assistant, an interactive television, a digital signal processor, and a Global Positioning System device.
- 3. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, further comprising:
a keyboard subsystem for communicating data to the caller identification messaging device.
- 4. The caller identification messaging device of claim 3, wherein the keyboard subsystem comprises at least one of the following:
a keyboard; a mouse; and a stylus.
- 5. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, further comprising:
a display for communicating visual data with the caller identification messaging device.
- 6. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, further comprising:
an audio subsystem for communicating audio data with the caller identification messaging device.
- 7. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, further comprising:
a power source for the caller identification messaging device.
- 8. The caller identification messaging device of claim 7, wherein the power source is a battery power source.
- 9. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, further comprising:
a peripheral bus controller operating with the communications device interface to control communications with at least one of the communications network, a calling party's wired communications device, and a wireless communications device transceiver in communications with a calling party's wireless communications device.
- 10. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, the database of caller identification messaging profiles including incoming caller identification messages transmitted to and received by the caller identification messaging device.
- 11. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, the database of caller identification messaging profiles including outgoing caller identification messages transmitted from the caller identification messaging device to the destination communications address.
- 12. The caller identification messaging device of claim 11, the caller identification messaging program controlling a caller identification messaging contacts organizer, the contacts organizer sorting data of the caller identification messaging profile by at least one of the following (i) an identifier of the receiving party associated with one or more destination communications addresses and (ii) the destination communications address associated with at least one of the identifier of the receiving party and the caller identification message sent to the receiving party.
- 13. The caller identification messaging device of claim 1, further comprising:
a light emitting diode panel for providing a visual alert for a new incoming caller identification message.
- 14. A caller identification messaging device, comprising:
at least one input/output processor to access, input, and output a caller identification messaging signal, the caller identification messaging signal including a caller identification message and at least one of (i) an identifier of the calling party, (ii) a destination communications address associated with a receiving party's communications device, and (iii) an identifier of at least one of a calling party's communications device and the caller identification messaging device, the caller identification message comprising at least one of text, voice, video, and electronic data; at least one communications device interface for communicating the caller identification messaging signal with at least one of a communications network and a communications device selected from a plurality of communications devices; a memory device for storing the caller identification messaging signal; and a processor communicating with the memory device, the processor operating with a caller identification messaging program for processing caller identification messaging signals, the caller identification messaging program residing in the memory device, and the processor further operating with the communications device interface for formatting and communicating the caller identification messaging signal.
- 15. The caller identification messaging device of claim 14, wherein the plurality of communications devices comprises a wireless communications device, a mobile phone, a wireless phone, a WAP phone, an IP phone, a satellite phone, a computer, a modem, a pager, a digital music device, a digital recording device, a personal digital assistant, an interactive television, a digital signal processor, and a Global Positioning System device.
- 16. The caller identification messaging device of claim 14, further comprising at least one of:
a display console; a keyboard; a mouse; a stylus; an audio recorder; and an audio/video player.
- 17. The caller identification messaging device of claim 14, further comprising:
at least one of a wireless communications transceiver and a wired communications port for communicating with at least one of the communications network, the calling party's communications device, and a data network.
- 18. The caller identification messaging device of claim 14, further comprising:
a biometric sensor for identifying a user of the caller identification messaging device.
- 19. A caller identification messaging device, comprising:
a processor, the processor operating with a caller identification messaging program for accessing, inputting, outputting, and generating a caller identification messaging signal, the caller identification messaging signal including the caller identification message and at least one of (i) the identifier of the calling party, (ii) the destination communications address, and (iii) an identifier of at least one of a calling party's communications device and the caller identification messaging device, and the processor further operating with a communications device interface for formatting and communicating the caller identification messaging signal with a communications network, the communications network communicating at least the caller identification message and the caller identification messaging signal to the destination communications address; the caller identification messaging program residing in memory, the caller identification messaging program for generating the caller identification messaging signal, the caller identification messaging signal comprising data input into the caller identification messaging device; and the communications device interface for communicating the caller identification messaging signal between the caller identification messaging device and at least one of the communications network and the calling party's communications device.
