Claims
- 1. In combination: an individual filter unit having a front face and a rear face and comprising a single frame and filter media within said frame, said filter unit being adapted for arrangement in an array for delivery of filtered air to a clean room, and an individual filter unit suspension assembly unshared with any other filter unit of the array, said individual filter unit suspension assembly comprising a bracket attached to said filter unit frame at said rear face and an elongated member supported from a support surface and adapted to engage said bracket and to support said filter unit in spaced relation of said filter unit frame to said supporting surface, said suspension assembly elongated member extending a predetermined distance to between said filter unit frame front face and rear face, whereby said elongated member terminates beyond said frame rear face, said suspension assembly bracket being mounted to said filter unit frame in a manner to intersect with said elongated member.
- 2. The combination according to claim 1, in which said filter unit further comprises a filter media divider between and contiguous with separate sections of filter media, said suspension assembly bracket being located at said divider.
- 3. In combination: an individual filter unit having a front face and a rear face and comprising a single frame, filter media within said frame and a filter media divider between separate sections of filter media, said filter unit being adapted for arrangement in an array for delivery of filtered air to a clean room, and an individual filter unit suspension assembly unshared with any other filter unit of the array, said individual filter unit suspension assembly comprising a bracket located at said divider and attached to said filter unit frame, said divider extending between said filter frame rear face and said filter frame front face, said divider having a shoulder portion defining said suspension assembly bracket, and an elongated member supported from a support surface and adapted to support said filter unit in spaced relation of said filter unit frame to said supporting surface, said suspension assembly elongated member extending a predetermined distance to between said filter unit frame front face and rear face, whereby said elongated member terminates beyond said frame rear face, said suspension assembly bracket being mounted to said filter unit frame in a manner to intersect with said elongated member.
- 4. The combination according to claim 3, in which said divider shoulder portion-defined suspension assembly bracket defines a member mount, said suspension assembly elongated member being mounted to said suspension assembly bracket at said member mount in individual filter unit supporting relation.
- 5. The combination according to claim 4, including also a fastener fastenable to said elongated member, said fastener blocking separation of said elongated member and said suspension assembly bracket in individual filter unit supporting relation.
- 6. The combination according to claim 5, in which said divider is interiorly open between the frame front face and the location of said fastener on said elongated member, said fastener being sized to be movable through the open interior of said divider.
- 7. The combination according to claim 3, in which said divider has a front face wall, and a rear face wall and a sidewall therebetween defining a divider open interior, said divider open interior extending between its said front and rear face walls, said elongated member extending into said open space through said divider rear face wall, a fastener fastenable to said elongated member in blocking relation to said member inward of said divider rear face wall, said fastener being removable from said member and said divider through said divider front face wall.
- 8. In combination: an individual filter unit adapted for arrangement in an array for delivery of filtered air to a clean room, and an individual filter unit suspension assembly unshared with any other filter unit of the array, each said filter unit having a filter frame comprising a wall, said filter frame wall having on the outside of said filter frame wall a suspension assembly bracket, said suspension assembly further comprising an elongated member supported from a support surface to said bracket in engaging relation, and a fastener engaged with said bracket in elongated member retaining relation, whereby said filter unit frame is supported.
- 9. The combination according to claim 8, in which said fastener is supported by said filter unit frame wall engaged with said bracket in elongated member retaining relation, whereby said filter unit frame is supported.
- 10. The combination according to claim 9, in which said suspension assembly bracket comprises a flange projecting from said filter frame wall in elongated member engaging relation in cooperation with said fastener.
- 11. The combination according to claim 10, including also a sealing strip circumscribing said filter frame in adjacent filter frame engaging relation, said bracket flange overlying said sealing strip.
- 12. In combination: an individual filter unit having a front face and a rear face and comprising a single frame and filter media within said frame, said filter unit being adapted for arrangement in an array for delivery of filtered air to a clean room, and an individual filter unit suspension assembly unshared with any other filter unit of the array, said individual filter unit suspension assembly comprising a bracket attached to the outside of said filter unit frame and an elongated member supported from a support surface and adapted to support said filter by said bracket in spaced relation of said filter unit frame to said supporting surface.
- 13. The combination according to claim 12, in which said filter unit frame bracket comprises a flange formed on said frame.
- 14. The combination according to claim 12, including also a fastener fastenable to said elongated member, said fastener blocking separation of said elongated member and said suspension assembly bracket in individual filter unit supporting relation.
- 15. In combination: an individual filter unit adapted for arrangement in an array for delivery of filtered air to a clean room, and an individual filter unit suspension assembly unshared with any other filter unit of the array, each said filter unit having a filter frame comprising a wall, said filter frame wall defining on the outside of said filter frame wall a suspension assembly bracket, said suspension assembly further comprising an elongated member supported from a support surface to said bracket in engaging relation.
- 16. The combination according to claim 15, in which said suspension assembly bracket further comprises a fastener supported by said filter unit frame wall, said fastener being engaged with said bracket in elongated member retaining relation, whereby said filter unit frame is supported.
- 17. The combination according to claim 16, in which said suspension assembly bracket comprises a flange projecting outward from said filter frame wall in elongated member engaging relation in cooperation with said fastener.
- 18. The combination according to claim 17, including also a sealing strip circumscribing said filter frame engaging relation.
- 19. A filter unit for installation in a clean room array of filter units said filter unit comprising a single filter frame, filter media within said frame, and a frame flange forming suspension assembly bracket defining a locus of attachment for an elongated member extending from a supporting surface, said filter unit frame including a frame wall surrounding said filter media, said frame wall defining an external bracket cooperating with said elongated member in filter unit supporting relation.
- 20. The filter unit according to claim 19, in combination with a fastener engaged with said bracket.
