Claims
- 1. A silver halide color light-sensitive material comprising, on a support, at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming color coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye-forming color coupler and at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan dye-forming color coupler, the weight-averaged wavelength, .lambda..sub.G, of spectral sensitivity distribution of the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer being in the range of from 520 nm to 580 nm, the weight-averaged wavelength, .lambda..sub.-R, of spectral sensitivity distribution of the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer in the range of from 500 nm to 600 nm being in the range of from 500 nm to 560 nm and the difference between the .lambda..sub.G and .lambda..sub.-R (.lambda..sub.G -.lambda..sub.-R) being 5 nm or more, wherein the spectral sensitivity distribution S.sub.-R (.lambda.) of the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive emulsion layer satisfies the following conditions: (a) the wavelength .lambda..sub.-R.sup.max at which S.sub.-R (.lambda.) is the maximum is in the range of from 490 nm to 560 nm;
- (b) the wavelength .lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 at which S.sub.-R (.lambda.) equals to 80% of S.sub.-R (.lambda..sub.-R.sup.max) is in the range of from 450 to 534 nm and from 512 to 566 nm; and
- (c) the wavelength .lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 at which S.sub.-R (.lambda.) equals to 40% of S.sub.-R (.lambda..sub.-R.sup.max) is in the range of from 400 to 512 nm and from 523 to 578 nm, and wherein the light-sensitive material contains at least one member selected from the group consisting of a DIR compound and a color masking compound which provides the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive emulsion layer.
- 2. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the wavelengths .lambda..sub.-R.sup.max, .lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 and .lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 are in the following ranges respectively:
- 505 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.max .ltoreq.545 nm;
- (ii) 492 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 .ltoreq.529 nm, and
- 517 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 .ltoreq.551 nm; and
- (iii) 471 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 .ltoreq.507 nm, and
- 528 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 .ltoreq.563 nm.
- 3. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the weight-averaged wavelength .lambda..sub.-R of the spectral sensitivity distribution of the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is in the range of from 500 to 530 nm.
- 4. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the material comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of yellow filters and ultraviolet light absorbing filters.
- 5. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 4 wherein the yellow filter contains at least one member selected from the group consisting of colloidal silver particles, yellow colored magenta couplers and yellow nondiffusible organic dyes.
- 6. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the yellow dye-forming color coupler is a hydrophobic acylacetamide coupler having ballast groups.
- 7. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 6 wherein the yellow dye-forming color coupler is a two equivalent yellow coupler.
- 8. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the magenta dye-forming color coupler is selected from 2-equivalent 5-pyrazolone type couplers.
- 9. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the magenta dye-forming color coupler is selected from polymerized magenta couplers.
- 10. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the cyan dye-forming color coupler is selected from 2-equivalent naphthol or phenol type couplers.
- 11. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the cyan dye-forming color coupler is a member selected from the group consisting of phenol type couplers having a phenylureido group at the 2-position and an acylamino group at the 5-position and naphthol type couplers having at the 5-position a substituent such as sulfonamide or carboxylic acid amide group.
- 12. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein at least one of the blue-, green- and red-sensitive layers comprises a colored coupler for masking.
- 13. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the yellow dye-forming color coupler is selected from hydrophobic acylacetamide couplers having ballast groups, the magenta dye-forming color coupler is selected from 5-pyrazolone type couplers and pyrazolo [5, 1-c] [1, 2, 4] triazole type couplers and the cyan dye-forming color coupler is selected from hydrophobic and nondiffusible naphthol and phenol couplers.
- 14. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the yellow dye-forming color coupler is selected from hydrophobic acylacetamide couplers having ballast groups, the magenta dye-forming color coupler is selected from 5-pyrazolone type couplers and pyrazolo [5, 1-c] [1, 2, 4] triazole type couplers, the cyan dye-forming color coupler is selected from hydrophobic and nondiffusible naphthol and phenol couplers and the wavelengths .lambda..sub.-R.sup.max, .lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 and .lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 are in the following ranges respectively:
- (i) 505 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.max .ltoreq.545 nm
- (ii) 492 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 .ltoreq.529 nm, and
- 517 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 .ltoreq.551 nm; and
- (iii) 471 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 .ltoreq.507 nm, and
- 528 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 .ltoreq.563 nm.
- 15. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth is claim 14 wherein at least one of the blue-, green- and red-sensitive layers include a colored coupler for masking.
- 16. A silver halide color light-sensitive material comprising, on a support, at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming color coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye-forming color coupler and at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan dye-forming color coupler, the weight-averaged wavelength, .lambda..sub.G, of spectral sensitivity distribution of the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer being in the range of from 520 nm to 580 nm, the weight-averaged wavelength, .lambda..sub.-R, of spectral sensitivity distribution of the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer in the range of from 500 nm to 600 nm being in the range of from 500 nm to 560 nm and the difference between the wavelengths .lambda..sub.G and .lambda..sub.-R (.lambda..sub.G -.lambda..sub.-R) being 5 nm or more, wherein the spectral sensitivity distribution S.sub.G (.lambda.) of the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive emulsion layer satisfies the following conditions:
- (i) the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.max at which S.sub.G (.lambda.) is the maximum is in the range of from 527 nm to 580 nm;
- (ii) the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.80 at which S.sub.G (.lambda.) equals to 80% of S.sub.G (.lambda..sub.G.sup.max) is in the range of from 515 to 545 nm and from 551 to 590 nm; and
- (iii) the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.40 at which S.sub.G (.lambda.) equals to 40% of S.sub.G (.lambda..sub.G.sup.max) is in the range of from 488 to 532 nm and from 568 to 605 nm, and wherein the light-sensitive material contains at least one member selected from the group consisting of a DIR compound and a color masking compound which provides the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive emulsion layer.
- 17. The silver halide color light-sensitive materials as set forth in claim 16 wherein the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.max, .lambda..sub.G.sup.80 and .lambda..sub.G.sup.40 are in the following ranges respectively:
- (i) 535 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.max .ltoreq.560 nm;
- (ii) 515 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.80 .ltoreq.538 nm, and
- 551nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.80 .ltoreq.578 nm; and
- (iii) 488 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.40 .ltoreq.520 nm, and
- 568 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.40 .ltoreq.595 nm.
- 18. A silver halide color light-sensitive material comprising, on a support, at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming color coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye-forming color coupler and at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan dye-forming color coupler, the weight-averaged wavelength, .lambda..sub.G, of spectral sensitivity distribution of the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer being in the range of from 520 nm to 580 nm, the weight-averaged wavelength, .lambda..sub.-R, of spectral sensitivity distribution of the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer in the range of from 500 nm to 600 nm being in the range of from 500 nm to 560 nm and the difference between the wavelengths .lambda..sub.G and .lambda..sub.-R (.lambda..sub.G -.lambda..sub.-R) being 5 nm or more, wherein the spectral sensitivity distribution S.sub.-R (.lambda.) of the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive emulsion layer satisfies the following conditions:
- (a) the wavelength .lambda..sub.-R.sup.max at which S.sub.-R (.lambda.) is the maximum is in the range of from 490 nm to 560 nm;
- (b) the wavelength .lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 at which S.sub.-R (.lambda.) is equal to 80% of S.sub.-R (.lambda..sub.-R.sup.max) is in the range of from 450 to 534 nm and from 512 to 566 nm; and
- (c) the wavelength .lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 at which S.sub.-R (.lambda.) equals to 40% of S.sub.-R (.lambda..sub.-R.sup.max) is in the range of from 400 to 512 nm and from 523 to 578 nm;
- the spectral sensitivity distribution S.sub.G (.lambda.) of the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer satisfies the following conditions:
- (i) the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.max at which S.sub.G (.lambda.) is the maximum is in the range of from 527 nm to 580 nm;
- (ii) the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.80 at which S.sub.G (.lambda.) equals to 80% of S.sub.G (.lambda..sub.G.sup.max) is in the range of from 515 to 545 nm and from 551 to 590 nm; and
- (iii) the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.40 at which S.sub.G (.lambda.) equals to 40% of S.sub.G (.lambda..sub.G.sup.max) is in the range of from 488 to 532 nm and from 568 to 605 nm, and wherein the light-sensitive material contains at least one member selected from the group consisting of a DIR compound and a color masking compound which provides the interlayer effect received by the red-sensitive emulsion layer.
- 19. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 18 wherein the wavelength .lambda..sub.-R.sup.max, .lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 and .lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 are in the following ranges respectively:
- (a) 505 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.max .ltoreq.545 nm;
- (b) 492 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 .ltoreq.529 nm; and
- 517 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.80 .ltoreq.551 nm; and
- (c) 471 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 .ltoreq.507 nm, and
- 528 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R.sup.40 .ltoreq.563 nm;
- and the wavelength .lambda..sub.G.sup.max, .lambda..sub.G.sup.80 and .lambda..sub.G.sup.40 and are in the following ranges respectively:
- (i) 535 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.max .ltoreq.560 nm;
- (ii) 515 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.80 .ltoreq.538 nm, and
- 551 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.80 .ltoreq.578 nm; and
- (iii) 488 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.40 .ltoreq.520 nm, and
- 568 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G.sup.40 .ltoreq.595 nm.
- 20. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein it contains at least one member selected from DIR couplers which release development inhibiting moieties which is deactivated in a developing solution and timing DIR couplers.
- 21. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein spectral sensitivity distribution S.sub.R (.lambda.) of the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer lies within the area represented by the hatched area on the accompanying FIG. 10A.
- 22. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein spectral sensitivity distribution S.sub.-G (.lambda.) of the interlayer effect received by the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer lies within the area represented by the hatched area on the accompanying FIG. 11B.
- 23. The silver halide color light-sensitive material so set forth in claim 1 wherein spectral sensitivity distribution of S.sub.B (.lambda.) of the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer lies within the area represented by the hatched area on the accompanying FIG. 12A.
- 24. The silver halide color light-sensitive material as set forth in claim 1 wherein spectral sensitivity distribution S.sub.-B (.lambda.) of the interlayer effect received by the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer lies within the area represented by the hatched area on the accompanying FIG. 12B.
