Claims
- 1. A colored petroleum-derived product selected from the group consisting of gasoline, diesel oils, motive oils, heating or fuel oils, lubricating oils, kerosene, jet fuels and naphthas having dissolved therein a disazo colorant corresponding to the formula ##STR23## said disazo colorant being highly resistant to removal from said petroleum-derived product by the commonly used adsorbents including carbon black, charcoal, clay and silica.
- 2. A colored petroleum-derived product selected from the group consisting of gasoline, diesel oils, motive oils, heating or fuel oils, lubricating oils, kerosene, jet fuels and naphthas having dissolved therein a disazo colorant comprising a mixture of compounds having the formula ##STR24## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each H or CH.sub.3, said disazo colorant being highly resistant to removal from said petroleum-derived product by the commonly used adsorbents including carbon black charcoal, clay and silica.
