Claims
- 1. A composition for electrophoretically depositing a black grille on a faceplate of a field emission display, comprising an electrophoresis solution containing an electrolyte, an anti-agglomerating agent, and about 0.03 to about 1.0% wt % of a black matrix material selected from the group consisting of boron carbide, silicon carbide, titanium carbide, vanadium carbide and mixtures thereof.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the electrolyte is present in an amount of about 0.001-0.2 wt %.
- 3. The composition of claim 1 wherein the anti-agglomerating agent is present in an amount of about 0.03 to 1.0 wt %.
- 4. The composition of claim 1 further comprising water.
- 5. The composition of claim 4 wherein water is present in the composition in an amount of about 2 wt %.
- 6. A composition for electrophoretically depositing a black grille on a faceplate of a field emission display, comprising an electrophoresis solution containing an electrolyte in an amount of about 0.001-0.2 wt %, an anti-agglomerating agent in an amount ranging from about 0.03 to 1.0 wt %, about 2 wt % water and about 0.03 to about 1.0% wt % of a black matrix material selected from the group consisting of boron carbide, silicon carbide, titanium carbide, vanadium carbide and mixtures thereof.
