Claims
- 1. A container assembly comprising:a container body having a first open end with a first neck and a second open end with a second neck, said first neck having a first securing structure, said second neck having a second securing structure; and a cap having a bottom wall, a side wall and a gripping surface, said bottom wall having a bottom surface, a central portion and a peripheral portion, said central portion being surrounded by said peripheral portion, said side wall extending upwardly from said peripheral portion, said side wall having a third securing structure that removably engages with said second securing structure for securing said cap to said container body, wherein said bottom surface has an edge formed therein, wherein said gripping surface is secured to said cap at least partially along said edge, wherein said gripping surface extends below said bottom surface, and wherein said cap is made of a first material and said gripping surface is made of a second material.
- 2. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said first and second securing structures are threads, wherein said side wall has a surface, and wherein said third securing structure is threads formed on said surface of said side wall.
- 3. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said second material has a Shore A Hardness about 30 to about 60.
- 4. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said central portion has a dome-like shape.
- 5. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said bottom wall has a first surface formed in said peripheral portion, and wherein said first surface and said bottom surface are joined to define said edge.
- 6. The container assembly of claim 5, wherein said first surface is substantially orthogonal to said bottom surface.
- 7. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said bottom wall has an undercut formed therein, and wherein said undercut and said bottom surface define said edge.
- 8. The container assembly of claim 7, wherein said undercut is formed in said peripheral portion.
- 9. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said container body has a first outer surface above said second neck, wherein said side wall has a second outer surface, and wherein said first outer surface is substantially contiguous with said second outer surface.
- 10. The container assembly of claim 9, wherein said side wall comprises an inner wall, an outer wall and a space therebetween.
- 11. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said edge is formed in said peripheral portion.
- 12. The container assembly of claim 11, wherein said peripheral portion is substantially flat.
- 13. The container assembly of claim 11, wherein said peripheral portion has a plurality of holes formed therethrough, each of said plurality of holes having a circumference, and wherein said edge is disposed along said circumference of each of said plurality of holes.
- 14. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said gripping surface has a portion that is disposed along said bottom surface adjacent to said edge so that said gripping surface overlays at least a portion of said edge.
- 15. The container assembly of claim 14, wherein said gripping surface has a plurality of beads formed therein.
- 16. The container assembly of claim 15, wherein said gripping surface has a layer disposed between said plurality of beads.
- 17. The container assembly of claim 16, wherein said plurality of beads are spaced apart equidistantly.
- 18. The container assembly of claim 1, wherein said edge is a first edge and a second edge, wherein said bottom wall has an undercut formed therein, wherein said bottom wall has a first surface formed therein, wherein said undercut and said bottom surface define said first edge, and wherein said first surface and said undercut define said second edge.
- 19. The container assembly of claim 18, wherein said first and second edges are formed in said peripheral portion.
- 20. The container assembly of claim 18, wherein said first and second edges are spaced apart equidistantly.
- 21. The container assembly of claim 18, wherein said gripping surface has a portion disposed along said bottom surface adjacent to said first edge, and wherein said gripping surface overlays at least a portion of said first and second edges.
- 22. A container assembly comprising:a container body having an upper open end with an upper neck of reduced diameter and a lower open end with a lower neck of reduced diameter, said upper neck having a first securing structure and said lower neck having a second securing structure; and a bottom cap having a bottom wall, a side wall and a gripping surface, said bottom wall having a bottom surface and a central portion surrounded by a peripheral portion, said side wall extending upwardly from said peripheral portion and having a third securing structure that engages with said second securing structure for securing said bottom cap to said container body, wherein said bottom surface has an edge formed therein along said peripheral portion, wherein said gripping surface is secured to said bottom cap at least partially along said edge and at least partially along said bottom surface adjacent to said edge so that said gripping surface overlays at least a portion of said edge, wherein said gripping surface extends below said bottom surface, and wherein said bottom cap is made of a first material and said gripping surface is made of a second material.
- 23. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said bottom wall has an undercut formed therein, and wherein said undercut and said bottom surface define said edge.
- 24. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said peripheral portion has a plurality of holes formed therethrough, each of said plurality of holes having a circumference, and wherein said edge is disposed along said circumference of each of aid plurality of holes.
- 25. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said first and second securing structures are threads, wherein said side wall has a surface, and wherein said third securing structure is threads formed on said surface of said side wall.
- 26. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said second material has a Shore A Hardness about 30 to about 60.
- 27. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said central portion has a dome-like shape.
- 28. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said edge is a first edge and a second edge, wherein said bottom wall has an undercut formed therein, wherein said bottom wall has a first surface formed therein, wherein said undercut and said bottom surface define said first edge, and wherein said first surface and said undercut define said second edge.
- 29. The container assembly of claim 28, wherein said first and second edges are spaced apart equidistantly.
- 30. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said container body has a first outer surface above said lower neck, wherein said side wall has a second outer surface, and wherein said first outer surface is substantially contiguous with said second outer surface.
- 31. The container assembly of claim 30, wherein said side wall comprises an inner wall, an outer wall and a space therebetween.
- 32. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said bottom wall has a first surface formed in said peripheral portion, and wherein said first surface and said bottom surface are joined to define said edge.
- 33. The container assembly of claim 32, wherein said first surface is substantially orthogonal to said bottom surface.
- 34. The container assembly of claim 33, wherein said peripheral portion is substantially flat.
- 35. The container assembly of claim 22, wherein said gripping surface has a plurality of beads.
- 36. The container assembly of claim 35, wherein said gripping surface has a layer disposed between said plurality of beads.
- 37. The container assembly of claim 35, wherein said plurality of beads are spaced apart equidistantly.
- 38. A container assembly comprising:a container body having an upper open end with an upper neck and a lower open end with a lower neck, said upper neck having a first securing structure, said lower neck having a second securing structure; and a bottom cap having a bottom wall, a side wall and a gripping surface, said bottom wall having a bottom surface, a central portion, a peripheral portion and an undercut formed therein, said central portion being surrounded by said peripheral portion, said side wall extending upwardly from said peripheral portion, said side wall having a third securing structure that removably engages with said second securing structure for securing said bottom cap to said container body, wherein said undercut and said bottom surface define an edge, wherein said gripping surface is secured to said bottom cap and overlays at least a portion of said edge, wherein said gripping surface has a portion disposed along said bottom surface adjacent to said edge, and wherein said bottom cap is made of a first material and said gripping surface is made of a second material.
- 39. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said edge is formed in said peripheral portion.
- 40. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said first and second securing structures are threads, wherein said side wall has a surface, and wherein said third securing structure is threads formed on said surface of said side wall.
- 41. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said second material has a Shore A Hardness about 30 to about 60.
- 42. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said central portion has a dome-like shape.
- 43. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said upper neck has a first diameter, said lower neck has a second diameter and said container body has a third diameter, and wherein said third diameter is larger than said first and second diameters.
- 44. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said container body has a first outer surface above said lower neck, wherein said side wall has a second outer surface, and wherein said first outer surface is substantially contiguous with said second outer surface.
- 45. The container assembly of claim 44, wherein said side wall comprises an inner wall, an outer wall and a space therebetween.
- 46. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said gripping surface has a plurality of beads.
- 47. The container assembly of claim 46, wherein said gripping surface has a layer disposed between said plurality of beads.
- 48. The container assembly of claim 46, wherein said plurality of beads are spaced apart equidistantly.
- 49. The container assembly of claim 38, wherein said edge is a first edge and a second edge, wherein said bottom wall has a first surface formed therein adjacent to said undercut, wherein said undercut and said bottom surface define said first edge, and wherein said first surface and said undercut define said second edge.
- 50. The container assembly of claim 49, wherein said first surface is substantially orthogonal to said bottom surface.
- 51. The container assembly of claim 49, wherein said first and second edges are formed in said peripheral portion.
- 52. The container assembly of claim 49, wherein said first and second edges are spaced apart equidistantly.
- 53. The container assembly of claim 49, wherein said peripheral portion has a plurality of holes formed therethrough, each of said plurality of holes having a circumference, and wherein said first surface defines said circumference of each of said plurality of holes.
- 54. The container assembly of claim 53, wherein said first surface is substantially orthogonal to said bottom surface.
