Claims
- 1. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one light sensitive image-forming layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of visually undetectable microdots positioned between said support layer and said at least one image-forming layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 2. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 1 wherein said pattern of microdots forms a unique signature.
- 3. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-formning layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of visually undetectable microdots positioned on said support layer on a surface opposite said at least one image-forming layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 4. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 1 and further comprising:
- a layer of transparent material positioned over said pattern of microdots and said support layer.
- 5. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 1 and further comprising edge coloration applied to said copy restrictive medium.
- 6. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 5 wherein said edge coloration is deletable.
- 7. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-receiving layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of visually undetectable microdots positioned between said support layer and said at least one image-receiving layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 8. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 7 wherein said pattern of microdots forms a unique signature.
- 9. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-receiving layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of visually undetectable microdots positioned on said support layer on a surface opposite said at least one image-receiving layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 10. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 7 and further comprising:
- a layer of transparent material positioned over said pattern of microdots and said support layer.
- 11. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 7 and further comprising edge coloration applied to said copy restrictive medium.
- 12. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 11 wherein said edge coloration is deletable.
- 13. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-forming layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of visually undetectable yellow microdots positioned between said support layer and said at least one image-forming layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 14. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 13 wherein said pattern of yellow microdots forms a unique signature.
- 15. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 13 and further comprising:
- a layer of transparent material positioned over said pattern of yellow microdots and said support layer.
- 16. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 13 and further comprising edge coloration applied to said copy restrictive medium.
- 17. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 16 wherein said edge coloration is deletable.
- 18. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-forning layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of yellow microdots, which are visually undetectable, positioned on said support layer on a surface opposite said at least one image-forming layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 19. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-receiving layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of visually undetectable yellow microdots positioned between said support layer and said at least one image-receiving layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 20. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 19 wherein said pattern of yellow microdots forms a unique signature.
- 21. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 19 and further comprising:
- a layer of transparent material positioned over said pattern of yellow microdots and said support layer.
- 22. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 19 and further comprising edge coloration applied to said copy restrictive medium.
- 23. The copy restrictive medium according to claim 22 wherein said edge coloration is deletable.
- 24. A copy restrictive medium comprising:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-receiving layer coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of yellow microdots, which are visually undetectable, positioned on said support layer on a surface opposite said at least one image-receiving layer;
- wherein said microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 25. A copy restrictive photographic medium comprised of:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-forming layer containing radiation sensitive silver halide coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of yellow microdots, which are visually undetectable, positioned between said support layer and said at least one image-forming layer;
- wherein said yellow microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 26. A copy restrictive photographic medium according to claim 25 wherein said pattern of yellow microdots forms a unique signature.
- 27. A copy restrictive photographic medium according to claim 25 and further comprising edge coloration applied to said copy restrictive photographic medium.
- 28. A copy restrictive photographic medium according to claim 27 wherein said edge coloration is deletable.
- 29. The copy restrictive photographic medium according to claim 25 wherein said support layer is a reflective support layer.
- 30. The copy restrictive photographic medium according to claim 29 and further comprising a light reflective layer positioned between said support layer and said pattern of yellow microdots.
- 31. The copy restrictive photographic medium according to claim 30 and further comprising a protective layer coated on said reflective support layer opposite said light reflective layer.
- 32. The copy restrictive photographic medium according to claim 31 and further comprising a pattern of yellow microdots positioned on said protective layer on a surface opposite said support layer.
- 33. A copy restrictive thermal transfer imaging receiver medium comprised of:
- a support layer;
- at least one image-forming layer containing radiation sensitive silver halide coated on said support layer; and
- a pattern of yellow microdots, which are visually undetectable, positioned between said support layer and said at least one image-forming layer;
- wherein said yellow microdots are detectable by opto-electronic means which are capable of deactivating a printing device.
- 34. A copy restrictive thermal transfer imaging receiver medium according to claim 33 wherein said pattern of yellow microdots forms a unique signature.
- 35. A copy restrictive thermal transfer imaging receiver medium according to claim 33 and further comprising edge coloration applied to said copy restrictive photographic medium.
- 36. A copy restrictive thermal transfer imaging receiver medium according to claim 35 wherein said edge coloration is deletable.
- 37. The copy restrictive thermal transfer imaging receiver medium according to claim 33 wherein said support layer is a reflective support layer.
- 38. The copy restrictive thermal transfer imaging receiver medium according to claim 37 and further comprising a light reflective layer positioned between said support layer and said pattern of yellow microdots.
- 39. A copy restrictive thermal transfer imaging receiver medium according to claim 38 wherein said pattern of yellow microdots forms a unique signature.
