Claims
- 1. A copying apparatus comprising:
- reading means for reading an original document image by a photoelectric converting member to generate electrical image signals;
- storage means for storing information indicating a desired image area to be recorded on a recording medium, based on the signals generated by said reading means prior to the original document reading;
- output means for outputting a gate signal in accordance with the information stored in said storage means while said reading means is reading the original document;
- gate means responsive to the gate signal from said output means for deriving from the electrical image signals generated by said reading means electrical image element signals corresponding to the desired image area; and
- recording means for recording an image in the desired image area on a recording medium in response to said electrical image element signals derived by said gate means.
- 2. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising means for manually setting the desired image area.
- 3. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said output means repeatedly outputs the gate signal on the basis of the information stored in said storage means.
- 4. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said gate means is provided in a path through which the electrical image signals are applied to said recording means.
- 5. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said reading means comprises an array of linearly disposed light-receiving elements, and moving means for moving said array in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of said array of light-receiving elements.
- 6. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said recording means comprises an ink jet recording means.
- 7. A copying apparatus comprising:
- reading means for reading an original document image by means of a photoelectric converting member to generate electrical image signals;
- manually operable means for manually designating an arbitrary area of the original document;
- output means for outputting a gate signal in accordance with an area designated by said manually operable means while said reading means is reading the original document;
- gate means responsive to the gate signal from said output means for deriving from the electrical image signals generated by said reading means electrical image signals corresponding to the area designated by said manually operable means;
- memory means for storing said electrical image signals derived from said gate means; and
- recording means for recording an image in the area designated by said manually operable means on a recording medium of a plurality of sheets in response to said electrical image signals repeatedly read from said memory means.
- 8. A copying apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said output means includes storage means for storing an information of the designated area of the original document, and said output means outputs the gate signal in accordance with the information stored in said storage means.
- 9. A copying apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said reading means comprises an array of linearly disposed light-receiving elements, and moving means for moving said array in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of said array of light-receiving elements.
- 10. A copying apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said gate means is provided in a path through which the electrical image signals are applied to said memory means.
- 11. A copying apparatus according to claim 7, further comprising means for setting the number of copies of the image to be recorded by said recording means.
- 12. A copying apparatus according to claim 11, wherein the electrical image signals are read from said memory means in dependence on then umber of copies set by said setting means.
- 13. A copying apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said recording means comprises an ink jet recording means.
