The present invention relates to a cosmetic case and, more particularly, to a cosmetic case for containing cosmetics such as powder and pressed powder.
In general, a conventional cosmetic case includes a case bottom, a liftable lid, and an intermediate layer (intermediate case body) between the case bottom and the lid. The intermediate layer is internally divided into several compartments in which cosmetics such as colorful pressed powder and eye shadow are held. Each of the lid and the intermediate layer has a pivot block at the back, and the case bottom is provided with two spaced pivot portions situated at the back. Each of the pivot blocks and the pivot portions has a pinhole. All of the lid, the intermediate layer and the case bottom will be pivotally mounted to one another with the pivot blocks of both the lid and the intermediate layer arranged between the pivot portions of the case bottom and with a pivot extending through the pinholes of the lid, the intermediate layer and the case bottom. However, since the intermediate layer is pivotally connected to the case bottom, the user cannot replace the intermediate layer after the powder contained in the intermediate layer are used up, which causes waste and cannot be beneficial to the resource recovery of the intermediate layer.
In a prior art, the lid is pivotally connected to the case bottom, and the intermediate layer is detachably combined in the case bottom. Accordingly, after the cosmetic powder in the intermediate layer is used up, the user can replace the intermediate layer, and the used intermediate layer can be recycled to avoid waste of resources. However, the conventional detachable intermediate layer is generally provided with snaps which engaged with recesses in the case bottom. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a great force to separate the snaps from the recesses to remove the intermediate layer, which causes inconvenience for the user in operation, and the snaps tend to break during the process of removing the intermediate layer.
It is an objective of the present invention to provide a cosmetic case for improving the above mentioned problems. The intermediate layer of the present invention is detachably combined in the case bottom, and the implementation of disassembling the intermediate layer is convenient and labor-saving, which is beneficial for users to replace the intermediate layer and the resource recovery of the intermediate layer. Furthermore, the cosmetic case of the present invention has the advantage of simple structure.
To achieve this and other objectives, a cosmetic case of the present invention includes a case bottom, at least one intermediate layer, and a lid. The case bottom includes a bottom plate and a wall plate upward extending from a periphery of the bottom plate. A pivot slot is formed in the wall plate, and the periphery of the bottom plate is provided with inwardly inclined at least one guiding surface at a position corresponding to the pivot slot. The intermediate layer is detachably combined in the case bottom and includes an annular enclosure. The enclosure is provided with at least one abutting arm which abuts against the at least one guiding surface of the case bottom. The lid is pivotally fitted over the case bottom and includes an annular wallboard. The wallboard is provided with a pivot block which is held in the pivot slot of the case bottom. When the lid is covered on the case bottom, the pivot block is spaced from the at least one abutting arm of the intermediate layer. When the lid is opened at an angle, the at least one abutting arm is in contact with the pivot block and movable upward relative to the case bottom under the guidance of the at least one guiding surface of the case bottom.
In a preferred form, the inclination angle of the guiding surface relative to a horizontal plane of the bottom plate is 45-85 degrees.
In a preferred form, the abutting arm includes a bottom end abutting on the guiding surface of the case bottom, and a protrusion extends outwardly from the bottom end of the abutting arm. When the lid is opened at the angle, the protrusion of the abutting arm is in contact with an outer surface of the pivot block.
In a preferred form, when the lid is covered on the case bottom, a lower end of the pivot block is located above the bottom end of the abutting arm in a height direction.
In a preferred form, two opposite coupling grooves are provided in an inner face of the wall plate and located at two sides of the pivot slot. An extension arm extends downwards from the enclosure on each side of the abutting arm, and a joint portion is provided on a top of each extension arm and located in one of the coupling grooves of the case bottom.
In a preferred form, the enclosure has an inverted L-shaped cross-section, and the abutting arm extends downward from an upper portion of the enclosure. A gap is formed between the abutting arm and the enclosure so that the abutting arm has elasticity.
In a preferred form, the periphery of the bottom plate is provided with two spaced guiding surfaces at a position corresponding to the pivot slot of the case bottom, and two spaced abutting arm are provided on the enclosure of the intermediate layer. A bottom end of each abutting arm of the intermediate layer abuts on a corresponding guiding surface of the case bottom.
In a preferred form, the periphery of the bottom plate of the case bottom is provided with an upwardly protruding guide block at a position corresponding to the pivot slot, and the guiding surface is provided on the guide block.
In a preferred form, the lid further includes a cover plate, and the wallboard downward extends from an edge of the cover plate. When the lid is lifted and the cover plate is turned over about 180 degrees, the pivot block is in contact with the abutting arm of the intermediate layer.
The present invention will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of illustrative embodiments of this invention described in connection with the drawings.
A cosmetic case 10 according to a first embodiment of the present invention is shown in
The intermediate layer 14 is accommodated in the chamber 18 of the case bottom 12 and includes a seat board 28 and an enclosure 30 upward extending from an edge 29 of the seat board 28, defining a chamber 32 inside the intermediate layer 14 for containing makeup powder. In this embodiment, the shape of the intermediate layer 14 is the same as that of the case bottom 12 and is substantially circular. The enclosure 30 has an inverted L-shaped cross-section. An abutting arm 34 is provided at a back of the enclosure 30 and extends downward from an upper portion 31 of the enclosure 30. A gap 35 is formed between the abutting arm 34 and the enclosure 30 (see
The lid 16 includes a cover plate 44 and a wallboard 46 downward extending from an edge 47 of the cover plate 44. The wallboard 46 is provided with a pivot block 48 protruding from a back thereof, and a transverse pinhole 50 is opened in the pivot block 48. The pivot block 48 is held in the pivot slot 24 of the case bottom 12, and the pinhole 50 in the pivot block 48 is aligned with the pivot holes 26 of the case bottom 12. The lid 16 is pivotally fitted over the case bottom 12 with two pivots 52 penetrating the pivot holes 26 of the case bottom 12 into the pinhole 50 of the lid 16, so that the lid 16 can be opened or closed relative to the case bottom 12. In this embodiment, the lid 16, which is identical to the case bottom 12 in shape and size, is stacked on the case bottom 12 for open-close operations relative to the case bottom 12. In a feasible embodiment, the lid 16 is pivotally fitted over the case bottom 12 with a single pivot 52 penetrating the pivot holes 26 of the case bottom 12 as well as the pinhole 50 of the lid 16 (not shown in figures).
In the cosmetic case 10 of the present invention, when the lid 16 is closed on the case bottom 12, an inner surface 54 of the pivot block 48 is spaced from the abutting arm 34 of the intermediate layer 14, and a lower end 56 of the pivot block 48 is located above the bottom end 40 of the abutting arm 34 in the height direction (see
