Claims
- 1. Crate with side walls and a bottom provided in its interior with separating walls creating a plurality of separated spaces for holding a containers, the crate being made out of a thermoplastic material, the thermoplastic material being a transparent or translucent material comprising a blend of at least one thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonate resin and at least one thermoplastic polyester resin comprising units derivable from a cycloaliphiatic diol and a cycloaliphatic or a aromatic diacid.
- 2. Crate of claim 1 made out of a thermoplastic material comprising 20-90% by weight of the polycarbonate resin and 80-10% by weight of the polyester.
- 3. Crate of claim 1 wherein the polyester is polyester comprising units derivable from a cycloaliphatic diol and units derivable from one or more of iso- and terephtalic acid.
- 4. Crate of claim 1 wherein the polyester is a polyester comprising as diol component a mixture of 50-100 mol % of units derivable from an cycloaliphiatic diol and 0-50 mol % units derivable from an alkylene glycol and as a diacid component 0-100 mol % units derivable from a phthalic acid and 100-0 mol % units derivable from a non-aromatic diacid.
- 5. Crate of claim 1 with one or more sidewalls transmitting at the most transparent spot more than 50% of a perpendicular incident ray of visible light.
- 6. Crate of claim 1 made out of a thermoplastic material further comprising one or more dyes and/or UV absorbers and with a thickness of the side walls so that the side walls of the crate do not transmit more than 10% of incident radiation with a wavelength up to 200-460 nanometer.
- 7. Crate of claim 1 made out of a thermoplastic material further comprising one or more dyes and/or UV absorbers and with a thickness of the side walls so that the side walls of the crate do not transmit more than 5% of incident radiation with a wavelength up to 200-460 nanometer.
- 8. Crate with side walls and a bottom provided in its interior with separating walls creating a plurality of separated spaces for holding a containers, the crate being made partly or completely out of a first thermoplastic material, the first thermoplastic material being a transparent or translucent material comprising a blend of at least one thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonate resin and at least one thermoplastic polyester resin comprising units derivable from a cycloaliphatic diol and a cycloaliphiatic or a aromatic diacid and the second thermoplastic material being different from the first.
- 9. Crate of claim 8 wherein one or more of the side walls or partly or completely made out of the first thermoplastic material.
