Claims
- 1. A composition or a pharmaceutical salt thereof comprising a compound having the structure according to Formula I: where R is COCH2R1, COCHR1R2, or COCR1R2R3, wherein R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of aryl and alkylaryl.
- 2. A composition or a pharmaceutical salt thereof comprising a compound having the structure according to Formula I: where R is a benzoyl group.
- 3. A composition or a pharmaceutical salt thereof comprising a compound having the structure according to Formula I: where R is CH2R1, CHR1R2, or CR1R2R3, wherein R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of aryl and alkylaryl.
- 4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a therapeutically effective amount of a compound, or a pharmaceutical salt thereof, having the structure according to Formula I: where R is COCH2R1, COCHR1R2, or COCR1R2R3, wherein R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of aryl and alkylaryl.
- 5. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a therapeutically effective amount of a compound, or a pharmaceutical salt thereof, having the structure according to Formula I: where R is a benzoyl group.
- 6. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a therapeutically effective amount of a compound, or a pharmaceutical salt thereof, having the structure according to Formula I: where R is CH2R1, CHR1R2, or CR1R2R3, wherein R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of aryl and alkylaryl.
- 7. A method of preparing dehydrodidemnin B comprising:a. coupling pyruvic acid and proline to form an intermediate; b. coupling the intermediate to didemnin A; and c. chromatographically isolating dehydrodidemnin B.
- 8. A method of isolating dehydrodidemnin B comprising:a. extracting a homogenized dehydrodidemnin B-containing tunicate of the Ascidacea class Subphylum Urochordata with alcohol; and b. chromatographically isolating dehydrodidemnin B.
- 9. A method of isolating dehydrodidemnin B comprising:a. extracting homogenized Aplidium albicans with alcohol; and b. chromatographically isolating dehydrodidemnin B.
