Claims
- 1. A die having a plurality of walls for making a structure, comprising:
- a die apex;
- a tetrahedron having tetrahedron edges and a tetrahedron apex that coincides with the die apex;
- a hexagonal base located on the opposite end of the die from the die apex, the base being integrated with the tetrahedron such that three walls of the die are parallelograms having parallelogram edges, a first parallelogram vertex of each parallelogram wall intersecting the tetrahedron apex, and the opposing second parallelogram vertex of each parallelogram intersecting a base vertex; and
- a groove in the parallelogram walls such that the groove joins a third parallelogram vertex with an opposing fourth parallelogram vertex in the parallelogram wall.
- 2. A die for making a structure, comprising:
- a hexagonal base having six base vertices and six base edges;
- an apex located on the opposite end of the die from the base;
- three parallelogram walls each having four parallelogram edges and four parallelogram vertices, the parallelogram walls being arranged so that a first parallelogram vertex of one parallelogram wall meets a first parallelogram vertex from each of the other two parallelogram walls to form the apex, and a second parallelogram vertex opposite to the first parallelogram vertex from each parallelogram wall meets a base vertex;
- six triangular walls each having three triangle edges, the triangular walls being arranged in pairs so that each pair has a common first triangle edge, a second triangle edge of each triangle is also a base edge, and the third triangle edge of each triangle is also a parallelogram edge; and
- a groove in the parallelogram walls such that the groove joins a third parallelogram vertex with an opposing fourth parallelogram vertex in the parallelogram wall.
