Claims
- 1. A disk apparatus comprising:
- a head;
- an actuator supporting said head and movable in radial direction of a recording surface of a disk medium; and
- a motor for rotating said actuator in a predetermined range of a rotational angle, said motor having
- a flat movable coil supported by said actuator,
- a pair of permanent magnets fixedly arranged at positions which define a space between said pair of magnets for said coil so that said magnets sandwich said movable coil, and
- a pair of yoke members for supporting said permanent magnets and forming a magnetic circuit, said pair including a first and second yoke member,
- wherein said pair of yoke members are fixed together by an adsorption by said permanent magnets whereby said pair of yoke members when in their final operating positions, are held together primarily by magnetic attraction substantially without the use of any other fastening means.
- 2. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each said yoke member further includes a flat plate member; and
- said first yoke member further includes a plurality of upright members extending toward said second yoke member, each said upright member having an end defining a front edge that faces said second yoke member, and each said upright member further defining sides of said space between said pair of permanent magnets, at least one of said front edges having a projection for positioning said pair of yokes, and said second yoke member having a reception hole for positioning, wherein said reception hole engages said projection.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said movable coil further defines a right coil portion opposed to a left coil portion, said left and right coil portions attached through a front coil portion and a back coil portion that opposes the front coil portion, each said portion having an inner edge and an outer edge, each said inner edge facing an opposing portion; and said permanent magnets further having front and rear outer edges respectively corresponding to said front and rear inner edges of said front and rear coil portions,
- wherein said front and rear outer edges of said pair of permanent magnets are arranged so as to slightly overlap said front and rear inner edges of said movable coil in a radial direction of said actuator, and a magnetic flux of said permanent magnet is allowed to pass outside of a torque generation valid portion defined by said right and left coil portions of said movable coil.
- 4. A disk apparatus comprising:
- an actuator for supporting a head so as to be movable in a radial direction for a recording surface of a disk medium; and
- a motor rotating said actuator in a predetermined range of a rotational angle;
- said actuator including
- a flat movable coil supported by said actuator,
- a permanent magnet, provided at a position opposite to said movable coil for imparting a driving force,
- an upper yoke member and a lower yoke member oppositely arranged with said movable coil positioned between said yoke members,
- upright members, formed integrally on said upper yoke member, for connecting the upper yoke member and the lower yoke member and defining a space between said upper and lower yoke members,
- a projection for positioning said upper yoke member and said lower yoke member, and
- a reception hole provided for engaging said projection; and
- said upper yoke member and lower yoke member are attracted, connected and secured together, when in their final operating positions, substantially without the use of any other fastening means, primarily by the magnetic attracting force of said permanent magnet in an engagement state achieved by said upright member and said projection for positioning.
- 5. A disk apparatus comprising:
- a head;
- an actuator supporting said head and movable in radial direction of a recording surface of a disk medium; and
- a motor for rotating said actuator in a predetermined range of a rotational angle, said motor having
- a flat movable coil supported by said actuator;
- a permanent magnet provided at a position opposite to said movable coil, for imparting a driving force; and
- a pair of yoke members for supporting said permanent magnet and forming a magnetic circuit, said pair of yoke members including a first and a second yoke member;
- wherein said pair of yoke members are fixed together by an adsorption by said permanent magnet, whereby said pair of yoke members, when in their final operating positions, are held together primarily by magnetic attraction substantially without the use of any other fastening means.
- 6. A disk apparatus comprising:
- an actuator for supporting a head so as to be movable in a radial direction for a recording surface of a disk medium; and
- a motor rotating said actuator in a predetermined range of a rotational angle;
- said actuator including
- a flat movable coil supported by said actuator;
- a permanent magnet, provided at a position opposite to said movable coil for imparting a driving force;
- an upper yoke member and a lower yoke member oppositely arranged with said movable coil positioned between said yoke members; and
- upright member, formed integrally on said upper yoke member, for connecting the upper yoke member and the lower yoke member and defining a space between said upper and lower yoke members;
- said upper yoke member and said lower yoke member are attracted, connected and secured together, when in their final operating positions, substantially without the use of any fastening means, primarily by the magnetic attracting force of said permanent magnet in an engagement state achieved by said upright member.
