Claims
- 1. An isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding a human .alpha..sub.1c adrenergic receptor.
- 2. An isolated nucleic acid molecule of claim 1, wherein the nucleic acid molecule is a DNA molecule.
- 3. A DNA molecule of claim 2 wherein the DNA molecule is cDNA.
- 4. An isolated nucleic acid molecule of claim 1, wherein the nucleic acid molecule encodes a human .alpha..sub.1c adrenergic receptor having an amino acid sequence as shown in FIGS. 3A-3G (Seq. ID No. 6).
- 5. A vector comprising the nucleic acid molecule of claim 1.
- 6. A plasmid comprising the vector of claim 5.
- 7. A vector of claim 5 adapted for expression in a bacterial cell which comprises the regulatory elements necessary for the expression of the nucleic acid in the bacterial cell so located relative to the nucleic acid encoding a human .alpha..sub.1c adrenergic receptor as to permit expression thereof.
- 8. A vector of claim 5 adapted for expression in a yeast cell which comprises the regulatory elements necessary for the expression of the nucleic acid in the yeast cell so located relative to the nucleic acid encoding a human .alpha..sub.1c adrenergic receptor as to permit expression thereof.
- 9. A vector of claim 5 adapted for expression in a mammalian cell which comprises the regulatory elements necessary for the expression of the nucleic acid in the mammalian cell so located relative to the nucleic acid encoding a human .alpha..sub.1c adrenergic receptor as to permit expression thereof.
- 10. A plasmid of claim 6 adapted for expression in a mammalian cell which comprises the regulatory elements necessary for the expression of the nucleic acid in the mammalian cell so located relative to the nucleic acid encoding a human .alpha..sub.1c adrenergic receptor as to permit expression thereof.
- 11. A plasmid designated pcEXV-.alpha..sub.1c (ATCC Accession No. 75317).
- 12. A mammalian cell comprising the plasmid of claim 6.
- 13. A mammalian cell of claim 12, wherein the mammalian cell is an LM(tk.sup.-) cell.
- 14. An LM(tk.sup.-) cell comprising the plasmid of claim 9.
