Claims
- 1. A DNA that encodes an NV2 carboy truncated CSF-1 polypeptide having at least residues 3 to 158 of SEQ. ID NO: 2 and being selected from the group consisting of NV2CV158 CSF-1, NV2CV190 CSF-1, NV2CV191 CSF-1, NV2CV221 CSF-1, NV2CV223 CSF-1, NV2CV236 CSF-1, NV2CV238 CSF-1, NV2CV249 CSF-1, NV2CV250 CSF-1, NV2CV258 CSF-1, and NV2CV411 CSF-1, said NV2 carboxy truncated CSF-1 polypeptide retaining a CSF-1 activity.
- 2. The DNA of claim 1, wherein said NV2 carboxy truncated CSF-1 polypeptide is selected from the group consisting of NV2CV190 CSF-1, NV2CV191 CSF-1 and NV2CV221 CSF-1.
- 3. An expression vector containing the DNA of claim 1 operably linked to a start codon and appropriate control sequences to express the DNA in a host cell.
- 4. An expression vector containing the DNA of claim 2 operably linked to a start codon and appropriate control sequences to express the DNA in a host cell.
- 5. A transformed host cell which expresses the DNA of claim 1.
- 6. A transformed host cell which expresses the DNA of claim 2.
- 7. The transformed host cell of claim 5, wherein the host cell is E. coli.
- 8. The transformed host cell of claim 6, wherein the host cell is E. coli.
- 9. A method for producing an NV2 carboxy truncated CSF-1 polypeptide comprising transforming E. coli with the expression vector of claim 3, and allowing said E. coli to express said NV2 carboxy truncated CSF-1 polypeptide.
- 10. A method for producing an NV2 carboxy truncated CSF-1 polypeptide comprising transforming E. coli with the expression vector of claim 4, and allowing said E. coli to express said NV2 carboxy truncated CSF-1 polypeptide.
