Claims
- 1. An isolated and purified DNA sequence encoding an osteoinductive protein said DNA sequence comprising the nucleotide sequence form nucleotide #356 to #1543 of FIG. 2.
- 2. An isolated and purified DNA sequence encoding an osteoinductive protein said DNA sequence comprising the nucleotide sequence from nucleotide #403 to #1626 of FIG. 3.
- 3. A vector comprising the DNA sequence of claim 1.
- 4. A vector comprising a DNA sequence of claim 2.
- 5. A host cell transformed with the vector of claim 3.
- 6. A host cell transformed with he vector of claim 4.
- 7. A method for producing a purified BMP-2A protein said method comprising the steps of
- (a) culturing in a suitable culture medium said transformed host cells of claim 5; and
- (b) isolating and purifying said BMP-2A from said culture medium.
- 8. A method for producing a purified BMP-2B protein said method comprising the steps of
- (a) culturing in a suitable culture medium said transformed host cells of claim 6; and
- (b) isolating and purifying said BMP-2B from said culture medium.
- 9. A method for producing a purified BMP-2A protein said method comprising the steps of
- (a) culturing in a suitable culture medium a mammalian host cell transformed with a DNA sequence comprising nucleotide #356 through #1543 of FIG. 2; and
- (b) isolating and purifying said BMP-2A from said culture medium.
- 10. The method of claim 9 wherein said mammalian host cell is a CHO cell.
- 11. A method for producing a purified BMP-2B protein said method comprising the steps of
- (a) culturing in a suitable culture medium a mammalian host cell transformed with a DNA sequence comprising nucleotide #403 through #1626 of FIG. 3; and
- (b) isolating and purifying said BMP-2B from said culture medium.
- 12. The method of claim 11 wherein said mammalian host cell is a CHO cell.
