Claims
- 1. A light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, characterized in that said silver halide emulsion layer includes substantially monodispersed non-tabular silver halide grains having a configuration of octahedral or tetradecahedral; said silver halide grains are core/shell type silver halide grains in which a silver iodide content is higher in core portions than in shell portions, said silver halide grains having regular grain sizes, and having a grain size distribution as defined by the following formula: ##EQU3## wherein S represents the standard deviation; r represents the average grain size; r.sub.i represents individual grain sizes; and n.sub.i represents numbers of r.sub.i ; provided that the r is defined by the following formula: ##EQU4## wherein n.sub.i and r.sub.i have the same meanings as defined above, said core portion of the silver halide grains comprising silver iodide at a level of 2 to 15 mole %; and said shell portion of the silver halide grains comprising silver iodide at a level of 0 to 4 mole %; and said silver halide grains are those which have been sensitized with a combination of at least one of sensitizing dyes represented by the following general formula (I) and at least one of sensitizing dyes represented by the following general formula (II): ##STR7## wherein Y.sub.1, Y.sub.2, Y.sub.3 and Y.sub.4 each represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, hydroxyl group, alkoxy group, amino group, acylamido group, acyloxy group, alkoxycarbonyl group, alkoxycarbonylamino group, aryl group, cyano group or alkyl group, at least one of (i) Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2, and (ii) Y.sub.3 and Y.sub.4 may be coupled to each other to form a ring or to form a naphthoxazole ring; R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represent an alkyl group; X.sub.1.sup..crclbar. represents an anion; and m is an integer of 1 or 2, provided that when the m is 1, the R.sub.2 or R.sub.3 is a residue formable of an internal salt; ##STR8## wherein Y.sub.5, Y.sub.6, Y.sub.7 and Y.sub.8 each represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, hydroxyl group, alkoxy group, amino group, acylamido group, acyloxy group, alkoxycarbonyl group, alkoxycarbonylamino group, aryl group, cyano group or alkyl group, at least one of (i) Y.sub.5 and Y.sub.6, and (ii) Y.sub.7 and Y.sub.8 may be coupled to each other to form a ring or to form a naphthodiazole ring; R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom or alkyl group; R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 each represent an alkyl group; X.sub.2.sup..crclbar. represents an anion; and n is an integer of 1 or 2, provided that when the n is 1, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 or R.sub.8 is a residue formable of an internal salt.
- 2. The light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material according to claim 1, wherein said core/shell type silver halide grans comprise shells having a thickness of 0.001 to 0.1.mu..
- 3. The light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material according to claim 1, wherein said anions of X.sub.1.sup..crclbar. and X.sub.2.sup..crclbar. each represent chloride, bromide, iodide, thiocyanate, sulfamate, methyl sulfate, ethyl sulfate, perchlorate or p-toluene sulfonate.
- 4. The light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material according to claim 1, wherein said R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 each represent an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 5. The light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material according to claim 1, wherein said silver halide grains are grains consisting of silver iodobromide.
- 6. The light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material according to claim 1, wherein said core/shell type silver halide grains are grains prepared by the double-jet method.
- 7. The light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material according to claim 1, wherein the silver iodide content in the silver halide grains is 5 to 12 mole %.
