Claims
- 1. An electronic device comprising:
- a dosimeter substance comprising a CVD diamond and having photoconductivity, an energy bandgap and a trap level, and
- means for a plurality of times reading out information about a first electromagnetic emission irradiated to said dosimeter substance by a single writing operation in accordance with electric resistance of said dosimeter substance or photocurrent flowing in said dosimeter substance by irradiating a second electromagnetic emission pulse to said dosimeter substance said plurality of times,
- wherein said first electromagnetic emission has a photon energy greater than an energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance, and said second electromagnetic emission pulse has a photon energy smaller than said energy bandgap.
- 2. An electronic device comprising:
- a dosimeter substance having photoconductivity, an energy bandgap and a trap level;
- means for irradiating a first electromagnetic emission to said dosimeter substance to input information into said dosimeter substance by a single writing operation; and
- means for irradiating a second electromagnetic emission pulse a plurality of times to said dosimeter substance to read out said information said plurality of times by the irradiation of said second electromagnetic emission pulse,
- wherein said first electromagnetic emission has a photon energy greater than an energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance, and said second electromagnetic emission pulse has a photon energy smaller than said energy bandgap.
- 3. An electronic device comprising:
- a dosimeter substance having photoconductivity, an energy bandgap and trap level; and
- means for a plurality of times reading out information about a first electromagnetic emission irradiated to said dosimeter substance by a single writing operation in accordance with electric resistance of said dosimeter substance or photocurrent flowing in said dosimeter substance by irradiating a second electromagnetic emission pulse to said dosimeter substance said plurality of times,
- wherein said first electromagnetic emission has a photon energy greater than an energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance, and said second electromagnetic emission pulse has a photon energy smaller than said energy bandgap, and
- wherein said dosimeter substance comprises a material selected from the group consisting of SiC, boron nitride, ZnO, ZnSe, ZnTe, CdS, AlN, SiGe, Se, AlAs, AlSb, GaP, GaAs, GaSb, InP, InAs, InSb, PbO, CsSe, and CdTe.
- 4. A method for processing information in an electronic device comprising:
- irradiating a first electromagnetic emission by a single writing step to a dosimeter substance having photoconductivity, an energy bandgap and a trap level from one side of said dosimeter substance; and
- irradiating a second electromagnetic emission pulse a plurality of times to said dosimeter substance from an opposite side of said dosimeter substance to said one side to read out information about said first electromagnetic emission said plurality of times,
- wherein said first electromagnetic emission has a photon energy greater than an energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance, and said second electromagnetic emission pulse has a photon energy smaller than said energy bandgap.
- 5. An electronic device comprising:
- a dosimeter substance having an energy bandgap;
- means for illuminating said dosimeter substance in a single writing operation with light having a photon energy smaller than an energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance to induce a photocurrent in said dosimeter substance; and
- means for reading desired information stored in said dosimeter substance from a peak value of said photocurrent,
- wherein said illuminating is repeated a plurality of times to carry out said reading said plurality of times.
- 6. An electronic device comprising:
- a dosimeter substance having an energy bandgap;
- means for illuminating said dosimeter substance in a single writing operation with light having a photon energy smaller than an energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance to induce a photocurrent in said dosimeter substance; and
- means for reading desired information stored in said dosimeter substance from a total amount of said photocurrent within a given time,
- wherein said illuminating is repeated a plurality of times to carry out said reading said plurality of times.
- 7. An electronic device comprising:
- a dosimeter substance having photoconductivity, an energy bandgap, and a trap level in which an excited carrier is trapped;
- means for illuminating said dosimeter substance in a single writing operation with first light having a wavelength corresponding to an energy higher than an energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance;
- means for illuminating said dosimeter substance with second light having a wavelength corresponding to an energy smaller than the energy bandgap of said dosimeter substance to induce a change in a property of said dosimeter substance; and
- means for obtaining information about said first light from said change in said property of said dosimeter substance,
- wherein said illuminating with said second light is repeated a plurality of times to carry out said obtaining of said information said plurality of times.
