Claims
- 1. A method of extending the pot-life of a charge transport composition, comprising the step of providing a polyaryl ether selected from the group consisting of polyaryletherketones, poly(aryl-perfluoroaryl ether)s, polyaryletherketone-hydrazones, polyaryletherketone-azines and mixtures and copolymers thereof in combination with a polycarbonate and a charge transport molecule.
- 2. A method according to claim 1, wherein the weight ratio of polycarbonate to polyaryl ether is from about 93:7 to about 85:15.
- 3. A method according to claim 1, wherein the polyaryl ether is synthesized from a bisphenol compound selected from the group consisting of bisphenol-A, cyclohexylidenebiphenol, fluorenylidenebisphenol, phenolphthalein, methylbisphenol-A, bisphenolate salts and mixtures thereof.
- 4. A method according to claim 3, wherein the polyaryl ether is synthesized from two different bisphenol compounds.
- 5. A method according to claim 1, wherein the polycarbonate comprises polycarbonate A.
- 6. A charge transport composition comprising a charge transport molecule, solvent and a binder blend, wherein the binder blend comprises polycarbonate and polyaryl ether selected from the group consisting of polyaryletherketones, poly(aryl-perfluoroaryl ether)s, polyaryletherketone-hydrazones, polyaryletherketone-azines and mixtures and copolymers thereof.
- 7. A charge transport composition according to claim 6, wherein the polycarbonate comprises polycarbonate A.
- 8. A charge transport composition according to claim 7, comprising, by weight, from about 10% to about 15% polycarbonate A and from about 0.5% to 15% polyaryl ether.
- 9. A charge transport composition according to claim 8, wherein the weight ratio of polycarbonate A to polyaryl ether is from about 93:7 to about 85:15.
