Claims
- 1. A method of writing data on an optical disk, the method comprising the following steps:
reading a reference clock track on the optical disk with a first laser; generating a clock signal from the first laser reading the reference clock track; using the clock signal, by a second laser, for writing data on the optical disk.
- 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
reading permanent sector headers with the second laser; and using a signal from the sector headers to refine the phase of the clock signal.
- 3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
reading permanent synchronization markers with the second laser; and using a signal from the synchronization markers to refine the phase of the clock signal.
- 4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
reading permanent block headers with the second laser; and using a signal from the block headers to refine the phase of the clock signal.
- 5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
reading permanent sector preambles with the second laser, the sector preambles positioned with an error correction code area of a previous sector; and using a signal from the permanent sector preambles to refine the phase of the clock signal.
