Claims
- 1. A peptide having the following formula: H-Phe-Phe-Phe-Glu-Arg-Leu-Glu-Ser-Asn-Asn-Tyr-Asn-Thr-Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr-Tyr-Val-Ala-Leu-Lys-Arg-Thr-Gly-Cln-Tyr-Lys-Leu Gly-Pro-Lys-Thr-Gly-Pro-Gly-Gln-Lys-Y, wherein Y is OH or NH.sub.2, or a biologically active C-terminally shortened fragment thereof, which fragment contains the sequence Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr.
- 2. A peptide according to claim 1 having the formula: H-Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr-NH.sub.2.
- 3. A peptide according to claim 1 having the formula: H-Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr-Val-Ala-Leu-Lys-Arg-Y.
- 4. A peptide according to claim 1 having the formula: H-Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr-Val-Ala-Leu-Y.
- 5. A peptide according to claim 1 having the formula: H-Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr-Val-Ala-Leu-Lys-Arg-Thr-Gly-Gln-Tyr-Lys-NH.sub.2.
- 6. A peptide having the formula: [H-Phe-Phe-Phe-Glu-Arg-Leu-Glu-Ser-Asn-Asn-Tyr-Asn-Thr-Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr-Val-Ala-Leu-Lys-Arg-NH.sub.2, or the formula:] H-Tyr-Asn-Thr-Tyr-Arg-Ser-Arg-Lys-Tyr-Ser-Ser-Trp-Tyr-Val-Ala-Leu-Lys-Arg-NH.sub.2.
- 7. A peptide having the following formula: H-R.sub.106 -R.sub.107 -R.sub.108 -R.sub.109 -R.sub.110 -R.sub.111 -R.sub.112 -R.sub.113 -Trp-Tyr-Val-Ala-Leu-Lys-Arg-y, wherein R.sub.106 is Tyr, R.sub.107 is Arg, R.sub.108 is Ser, R.sub.109 is Arg, R.sub.110 is Lys or D-Lys, R.sub.111 is Tyr, R.sub.112 is Ser, R.sub.113 is Ser or D-Ser, and Y os OH or NH.sub.2, wherein one of R.sub.106 to R.sub.113 is in D-isomer form.
- 8. A peptide according to claim 7 wherein R.sub.113 is D-Ser.

This application is a divisional of our application Ser. No. 07/270,225, filed Nov. 14, 1988, now U.S. Pat. No. 5,132,408 which is a continuation-in-part of our earlier Ser. No. 854,843, filed Apr. 22, 1986, now abandoned.
