- means, connected to said detector means, for processing image signals generated by said detector elements for each shift of said image relative to said detector elements from said first position to said second position to produce an average of said first signals and said second signals at each sampling point over said array of said displayed pixels to produce third signals, said third signals having maximum intensity levels where separation of said first position and said second position eliminate a third Moire pattern in said third signal.
- 10. The test system of claim 9 wherein said means for shifting comprises a rotating means for rotating a reflector interposed between said display image and said detector elements, said rotating means shifting said displayed image relative to said detector elements.
- 11. The test system of claim 9 further comprising:
- means for additionally shifting said displayed image relative to said detector elements along a second line of said display pixels orthogonal to said first line of said display pixels; and
- means for detecting and averaging signals generated by said detector elements after each step of shifting until the effects of said Moire patterns on determining relative intensity levels of said display pixels have been reduced to a desired level.
- 12. The test system of claim 10 wherein said shifting means is a means for incrementally shifting.
- 13. The test system of claim 10 wherein said shifting means is means for shifting about one-half of a display pixel along said first line.
