Claims
- 1. A method for purification of plurality of proteins comprising the steps of:
expressing a first tagged protein using a first predetermined organism; expressing a second tagged protein using a second predetermined organism; harvesting said first tagged protein from the first predetermined organism to form a first green juice; harvesting said second tagged protein from the second predetermined organism to form a second green juice; and simultaneously pumping said first green juice through a first affinity column to extract said first tagged protein and passing said second green juice through a second affinity column to extract said second tagged protein.
- 2. A method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising the steps of:
collecting said first green juice after passing through said first affinity column; collecting said second green juice after passing through said second affinity column; and simultaneously recycling said first collected green juice through said first affinity column and recycling said second collected green juice through said second affinity column.
- 3. A method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising the steps of:
recovering said first tagged protein from said first affinity column; recovering said second tagged protein from said second affinity column; wherein, said recovered first tagged protein is measurable in quantities ranging from 1 μg to 100's mg, and said recovered second tagged protein is measurable in quantities ranging from 1 μg to 100's mg.
- 4. A method as set forth in claim 1, wherein each of said predetermined organisms comprises one or more of the following organisms:
bacteria, yeast, insects, plants and mammalian cells.
- 5. A method as set forth in claim 1, wherein said tagged proteins are separate recombinant proteins for use in constructing microarrays.
- 6. A method as set forth in claim 1, wherein said tagged proteins are separate patient specific medicines.
- 7. A method for production and purification of pluralities of proteins comprising the steps of:
selecting at least two protein targets; selecting appropriate recombinant vectors that express correct protein sequences of said protein targets; expressing each of said selected recombinant vectors in separate predetermined organisms to produce respective recombinant proteins; harvesting said organisms to form at least two green juices, each of said at least two green juices corresponding to respective ones of said recombinant proteins; and simultaneously pumping said green juices through respective affinity columns to extract said recombinant proteins.
- 8. A method as set forth in claim 7, further comprising the steps of:
collecting said green juices in separate respective receptacles after passing through said affinity columns; and simultaneously recycling said green juices through said affinity columns.
- 9. A method as set forth in claim 7, further comprising the steps of:
recovering said recombinant proteins from said affinity columns, wherein said recovered recombinant proteins are each measurable in quantities ranging from 1 μg to 100's mg.
- 10. A method as set forth in claim 7, wherein each of said predetermined organisms comprises one or more of the following organisms:
bacteria, yeast, insect cells, plants and mammalian cells.
- 11. A method as set forth in claim 7, wherein said recombinant proteins are separate recombinant proteins for use in manufacturing microarrays.
- 12. A method as set forth in claim 7, wherein said recombinant proteins are separate patient specific medicines.
- 13. An apparatus for purification of a plurality of proteins, comprising:
a plurality of reservoirs, each reservoir having a separate green juice retained therein; a plurality of pumps, each reservoir being connected to one of said pumps; a plurality of columns, each column being connected to a corresponding one of said pumps, each column having a protein retaining material disposed therein; and a means for removing the proteins from said columns.
- 14. An apparatus as set forth in claim 13, further comprising a computer connected to portions of said apparatus for automated control of said apparatus.
- 15. An apparatus for purification of a plurality of proteins, comprising:
a first reservoir having a first green juice retained therein; a first pump, said reservoir being connected to said pump; a column connected to said first pump such that said pump urges the first green juice through said column, said column having a protein retaining material disposed therein; and a computer connected to said pump for automated control of said apparatus.
- 16-20 (canceled).
