Claims
- 1. A method of operating an autochanger having a media holder assembly mounted for rotation relative to a nonrotating portion of the autochanger about a media holder rotation axis comprising:disengaging structure that rotates with the media holder assembly from structure mounted on the nonrotating portion of the autochanger radially outwardly of media held by the media holder assembly; rotating the media holder assembly about the rotation axis; and engaging structure that rotates with the media holder assembly with structure mounted on the nonrotating portion of the autochanger radially outwardly of media held by the media holder assembly.
- 2. The method of claim 1:wherein said disengaging comprises disengaging a first structure that rotates with the media holder assembly from a first structure mounted on the nonrotating portion of the autochanger; and wherein said engaging comprises engaging a second structure that rotates with the media holder assembly with the first structure mounted on the nonrotating portion of autochanger.
- 3. The method of claim 2 further comprising:engaging the first structure that rotates with the media holder assembly with a second structure mounted on the nonrotating portion of the autochanger radially outwardly of media held by the media holder assembly.
- 4. The method of claim 3 comprising performing substantially simultaneously:said engaging the second structure that rotates with the media holder assembly with the first structure mounted on the nonrotating portion of the autochanger radially outwardly of media held by the media holder assembly: and said engaging the first structure that rotates with the media holder assembly with the second structure mounted on the nonrotating portion of the autochanger radially outwardly of media held by the media holder assembly.
- 5. The method of claim 2:wherein said disengaging a first structure that rotates with the media holder assembly comprises unlatching a first stud; wherein said engaging a second structure that rotates with the media holder assembly comprises latching a second stud positioned diametrically opposite the first stud.
- 6. The method of claim 1 herein said disengaging comprises unlatching a first stud mounted on a radially outwardly positioned portion of the media holder.
- 7. A method of operating an autochanger having a media holder assembly rotatably mounted relative to a nonrotating frame about a media holder rotation axis, the media holder comprising a media holder sleeve portion, comprising:at a location radially outward of the sleeve portion disengaging structure on the media holder assembly from structure on the frame; rotating the media holder assembly about the rotation axis; and at a location radially outward of the sleeve portion engaging structure on the media holder assembly with structure on the frame.
- 8. A method of displacing between rotational registration positions an autochanger media holder assembly rotatable about a media holder rotation axis and having a media holder sleeve portion comprising:unlatching at least one stud mounted on the media holder assembly and extending radially outwardly of the sleeve portion from a latching assembly positioned radially outwardly of the sleeve portion; rotating the media holder assembly about the rotation axis; and latching at least one stud mounted on the media holder assembly and extending radially outwardly of the sleeve portion with a latching assembly positioned radially outwardly of the sleeve portion.
- 9. The method of claim 8 wherein:said unlatching comprises unlatching first and second studs from first and second latching assemblies, respectively; wherein said rotating comprises rotating the media holder 180°; and wherein said latching comprises latching said first and second studs with said second and first latching assemblies, respectively.
- 10. A method of displacing an autochanger media holder assembly about a media holder rotation axis comprising:at a first rotational registration position of the media holder, unlatching the media holder assembly from a latch assembly positioned radially outwardly of a media receiving sleeve portion of the media holder assembly; rotating the media holder assembly about the rotation axis; and at a second rotational registration position of the media holder, latching the media holder assembly with a latch assembly positioned radially outwardly of the sleeve portion.
