Claims
- 1. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which comprises a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil comprises:
- as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members, [II], [III] and [IV]; and
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR18## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR19## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR20## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR21## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR22## or ##STR23## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 2. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which comprises a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil comprises:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR24## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR25## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR26## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR27## or ##STR28## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters.
- 3. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consisting of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV]; and
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR29## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR30## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR31## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR32## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR33## or ##STR34## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 4. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV];
- [B] at least one conventional oil selected from the group consisting of paraffinic mineral oils, naphthenic mineral oils, poly.alpha.-olefins and alkylbenzenes; and
- [C] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR35## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR36## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR37## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR38## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR39## or ##STR40## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 5. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV];
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters; and
- [C] at least one additive selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, amine antioxidants, wear resistant additives, extreme pressure agents, oiliness improvers, antifoaming agents and metal inactivators, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR41## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR42## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR43## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR44## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR45## or ##STR46## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 6. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV];
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters; and
- [C] at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric esters, acid phosphoric esters, amine salts of acid phosphoric esters, chlorinated phosphoric esters, and phosphorous esters, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR47## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR48## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR49## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR50## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR51## or ##STR52## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 7. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV];
- [B] at least one conventional oil selected from the group consisting of paraffinic mineral oils, naphthenic mineral oils, poly.alpha.-olefins and alkylbenzenes;
- [C] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters; and
- [D] at least one additive selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, amine antioxidants, wear resistant additives, extreme pressure agents, oiliness improvers, antifoaming agents and metal inactivators, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR53## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR54## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR55## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR56## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR57## or ##STR58## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 8. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV];
- [B] at least one conventional oil selected from the group consisting of paraffinic mineral oils, naphthenic mineral oils, poly.alpha.-olefins and alkylbenzenes;
- [C] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters; and
- [D] at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric esters, acid phosphoric esters, amine salts of acid phosphoric esters, chlorinated phosphoric esters, and phosphorous esters, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR59## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR60## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR61## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR62## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR63## or ##STR64## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 9. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV];
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters;
- [C] at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric esters, acid phosphoric esters, amine salts of acid phosphoric esters, chlorinated phosphoric esters, and phosphorous esters; and
- [D] at least one additive selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, amine antioxidants, wear resistant additives, extreme pressure agents, oiliness improvers, antifoaming agents and metal inactivators, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR65## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR66## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR67## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR68## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR69## or ##STR70## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 10. A fluid composition for use in refrigerators, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of at least two members selected from the group consisting of four members [I], [II], [III] and [IV];
- [B] at least one conventional oil selected from the group consisting of paraffinic mineral oils, naphthenic mineral oils, poly.alpha.-olefins and alkylbenzenes;
- [C] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters;
- [D] at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric esters, acid phosphoric esters, amine salts of acid phosphoric esters, chlorinated phosphoric esters, and phosphorous esters; and
- [E] at least one additive selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, amine antioxidants, wear resistant additives, extreme pressure agents, oiliness improvers, antifoaming agents and metal inactivators, wherein:
- said member [I] is a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR71## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [II] is a polyol ester represented by the general formula (2) ##STR72## wherein R.sup.5 -R.sup.7 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, R.sup.8 is a member selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl and propyl groups, and b is an integer of 1 to 3;
- said member [III] is an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR73## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR74## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR75## or ##STR76## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- said member [IV] is a polyol ester obtained by the synthesis of, as raw materials, (a) a neopentyl type polyhydric alcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, (b) a straight-chain monocarboxylic acid and/or a branched-chain monocarboxylic acid, the branched-chain monocarboxylic acid being present in a ratio of not less than 50 mol % of the total monocarboxylic acids, (c) a dicarboxylic acid.
- 11. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR77## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR78## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR79## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR80## or ##STR81## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30; and
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters.
- 12. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR82## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR83## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR84## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR85## or ##STR86## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30;
- [B] at least one conventional oil selected from the group consisting of paraffinic mineral oils, naphthenic mineral oils, poly.alpha.-olefins and alkylbenzenes; and
- [C] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters.
- 13. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR87## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR88## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR89## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR90## or ##STR91## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30;
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters; and
- [C] at least one additive selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, amine antioxidants, wear resistant additives, extreme pressure agents, oiliness improvers, antifoaming agents and metal inactivators.
- 14. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR92## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR93## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR94## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR95## or ##STR96## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30;
- [B] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters; and
- [C] at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric esters, acid phosphoric esters, amine salts of acid phosphoric esters, chlorinated phosphoric esters, and phosphorous esters.
- 15. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR97## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR98## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR99## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR100## or ##STR101## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30;
- [B] at least one conventional oil selected from the group consisting of paraffinic mineral oils, naphthenic mineral oils, poly.alpha.-olefins and alkylbenzenes;
- [C] at least one epoxy compound selected from the group consisting of phenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylphenylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, alkylglycidyl ether epoxy compounds, glycidyl ester epoxy compounds, aryloxirane compounds, alkyloxirane compounds, alicyclic epoxy compounds and epoxidized fatty acid monoesters; and
- [D] at least one additive selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, amine antioxidants, wear resistant additives, extreme pressure agents, oiliness improvers, antifoaming agents and metal inactivators.
- 16. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR102## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR103## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR104## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR105## or ##STR106## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30;

- 17. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR107## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR108## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR109## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR110## or ##STR111## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30;

- [C] at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric esters, acid phosphoric esters, amine salts of acid phosphoric esters, chlorinated phosphoric esters, and phosphorous esters; and
- [D] at least one additive selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, amine antioxidants, wear resistant additives, extreme pressure agents, oiliness improvers, antifoaming agents and metal inactivators.
- 18. A fluid composition for a refrigerator, which consists of a chlorine-free halogenocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator oil, said refrigerator oil consists of:
- [A] as a base oil a mixed ester of
- [I] a pentaerythritol ester represented by the general formula (1) ##STR112## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 may be identical with or different from each other and are each a member selected from the group consisting of straight-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 11 carbon atoms, branched-chain alkyl groups having 3 to 15 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, the number of straight-chain alkyl groups being present in a concentration of not more than 60% of the total number of alkyl groups, and a is an integer of 1 to 3; and
- [III] an ester represented by the general formula (3) ##STR113## wherein X.sup.1 is a group represented by the general formula --OR.sup.11 or ##STR114## X.sup.2 is a group represented by the general formula ##STR115## or ##STR116## R.sup.9 and R.sup.15 are each a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.10 and R.sup.12 are each a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, R.sup.11 and R.sup.16 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 15 carbon atoms, R.sup.13 and R.sup.14 are each a branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 14 carbon atoms, c and e are each an integer of 0 or 1, and d is an integer of 0 to 30;
